Despite this summer heatwave, our cut flower garden is growing more beautiful each and every day 💗 Here are just some pics from today's farming which yielded these knockout bouquets and an arrangement for a very special someone in our downtown scene.

Fresh From Our Farm mixed bouquets are ready to beautify your home, or you can give the gift of Whimsical blooms to a special someone!
How it works:
*Contact a Whimsy via email ([email protected]), or text, or message, and place your bouquet order NO LATER than Monday evening at 9:00 p.m. for that week. This ensures that we can select and pick the freshest blooms possible for your bouquet.
*Feel free to pick up Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at our farm (2907 Charlestown Rd., Lancaster, PA 17603). Bouquets will be labeled and placed in arrive alive wrapping in front of the workshop. Just follow signs that will lead you to beauty.
*Each standard homegrown bouquet is $22.50. We will happily accommodate other sizes and price ranges of bouquets per request if possible.
*Payment accepted via cash, check, or Venmo at pick up.

Yesterday was one of the toughest and most rewarding days up to this point for this farming season. Every year, most of our beautiful little annuals have to be pinched to ultimately lengthen stem size, increase the number of flowers, and create an overall healthier plant. So with snips in hand, pinching day commenced.

We got a kick 👠 👢 out of doing some fun arrangements for an event at Holiday Pop-Up.
Have you been? This local spot has a curated collection of clothing, accessories, home goods, and art. It’s kind of hard to find a Twin NOT wearing something from there. You have one week left to get in and shop!
Some of the peonies are from our Styer’s adventure but all other flowers are HOME. GROWN. 💪🏼🌸

We took an educational field trip yesterday morning to Styer’s Peonies in Chadds Ford.
25 acres of tens of thousands of spectacular flowers at their peak.
This morning, we are placing our peony order for future varieties at our farm. To be shared with all of you🌸💗
We cannot get enough of this peony masterpiece that was commissioned for an annual Pink Party with a Barbie theme.
We are so honored to have been hired for this job for the second year in a row and the gracious hosts invited us to be guests and not just dress the flowers but dress the part!

Even a very particular resident who gained a reputation after shooing away a visiting priest 🫣 agrees that we should come back soon with more flowers. Oh, what joy to spread so much flower love to students of all ages. ❤️

Our special morning with our littlest designers continued.
We went to Mrs. Burkholder's class and taught these incredible kindergarteners all about flowers.
We were very impressed by how much these tender hearts cared about each flower chosen for their moms. Touched by seeing them share with and help one another.
We cautioned about the dangers of using sharp snips, and one bold little bloom advised us that she works with them “like, all the time”.
Our flower hearts are so happy to meet this next generation of nature lovers and artists ❤️

We shared such a beautiful morning with Mrs. Shelly's second grade class at Kraybill Mennonite School! With a little guidance from the Whimsys, these little designers created their own thoughtful arrangements that their moms will always cherish. 💗💗

Meet the Whimsy Twins!
We are Carla and Jill, Lancaster, PA - based besties who share a love of flowers, plants, good times, finer things, and our community.
When we met in the summer of 2017, it quickly became apparent that we had a lot - a LOT- in common. Almost like we were...twins.
Having grown up in Lancaster, an area known for its rich history, Amish population, and bucolic farmlands, we were both raised with this love of all things flora. Since we officially launched Whimsy Twins in 2021, our understanding of and appreciation for nature has only grown.
Carla, with over 20 years of experience in retail, construction, and interior design, is a self-proclaimed Word Nerd and is our co-designer.
Jill, a retired elementary school teacher of 20 years, is our flower farmer; growing on an acre of land on the farm in Millersville she owns with her husband. Jill is an expert floral designer and likely to be the cheerful voice on the other end of the phone if you call.
Over the years, we have had the support of our mentors, friends, family, and community and we continue to learn, grow, and share. We are so excited to connect with more and more of you.

We have many varieties of lisianthus (affectionately referred to amongst growers as lisi's). This rose-resembling flower is so robust and lasts for a long time. One stem can have a fully open bloom and a bud all at once. These shades are not often otherwise found in nature! A rare beauty, indeed.
