Rain can't dampen your wedding day unless you allow it to. Brandon + Emily certainly did not.
A few moments from friday that made me pick my jaw up off the floor. 😱❤️
The sweetest Thursday wedding; precious in-between moments; Joe and Nicole celebrating with their adorable little girl and don't even ask me if I was silently sobbing while all three of them danced together to "Feels Like Home" by Chantal Kreviazuk, because I will deny it. Just a good, good day.
Yesterday: was is March 16 or June 16? 😍☀️
tic tac toe, three b+w's in a row . . .
little winter b+w 🖤🤍
documenting not just how your day looked - but also how it FELT. big fan.
✨full-circle moments✨
It’s been 2 months since I’ve posted my work but that’s just me, not giving into the “boss babe” mentality with the mindset of, “I can do all the sessions, turn work around in a week and make daily posts” - which left me so unhealthy in seasons past. Allowing myself to rest in the mindset that I am doing my best, but also allowing myself rest + recharge so that my family and my clients get the best of me and not a gal trying to pour from an empty cup. ✌🏻🧡🪩
This day + all the things that made it so THEIRS. Grooms: braid flowers in your hair if you want. Brides: rip your dress sleeves off if you feel like it. Bring duck decoys because they are part of your story. Jump in the pool just the two of you - just because. Your wedding should be so compiled of YOU things that it's unmistakably yours and yours only. Connor and Emily are the two luckiest ducks - for having found one another but also for the happiness you can feel around them because they're unapologetically THEMSELVES.
More anniversary sessions where I get to third-wheel at carnivals, okay?
🧡🌼
What a day.
Married in a mountain meadow strewn with wild lupine and indian paintbrushes 🌼
woke up the next morning for a breathtaking desert sunrise... but that deserves a post all of its own.
the west has my heart. but y'all knew that already.
fun facts:
- grant is our nephew. don't ask if that makes me feel old.
- all these photos were taken on the side of the road, up at our cabin, just hours after katie thrifted this adorable vintage dress
- this means my computer is BACK, baby! been culling + editing like a crazy person (my computer WAS wiped clean BUT i got new culling software that makes the process take less than half the time it did before)
a few words of advice 🧡
When they're both musicians splitting their time between Nashville and LBI; one's a cali girl and the other a surfer from NJ, you can safely assume they're pretty much the coolest people you know.
Golden hour with a wildfire haze.
Absolutely heartwrenching - watching the news and seeing the toll these fires are taking, but I'd be lying if i didn't say this was one of the most unique and moody lights i've ever shot in.
"Hey Alexa, play 'Sun to me' by Zach Bryan."
rainy wedding days serve up a whole new level of mood - change my mind. // also, couples who EMBRACE the weather they're given because hey - it's still their best day ever // also, the cutest little 🐝 landing on Emily's bouquet in the middle of a rainstorm 🥹that's just the sweetest good luck charm - change my mind.
Rain (hurricane force or not) didn't dampen this day in the least bit. Just so much goodness, from start to end. Also, there's SO MUCH to be said for clients who say, "Girl, I trust you. Be your funky self, we dig the creativity." Just a few weddings into 2023 and already feeling so blessed and grateful for the humans who entrust me.

about last night 💫
my first sessions in 2023 have all been past clients in an exciting new season of life and i can't begin to tell you how blessed i feel to be able to keep on telling their stories. after an insanely beautiful golden hour - jena got the belly out for blue hour and i knew each one would have to have their own post. consider me emotionally wrecked. just loving how this year is kicking off 🧡
2023 has been officially kicked off + i'm here for it✌🏻⚡️
Mr. + Mrs. most-chic, everyone.
*Infinite* amounts of sharing to be done from this past weekend - a double header - and my final weddings of the year. Additionally - infinite gratitude towards my clients who have not only been my biggest cheerleaders when I changed my editing early this year to a more filmy vibe - but also when I get creatively funky and they get my vision and see how it's telling their unique story in my own unique way.

Friday was a dream. Quite literally an "I'm in Bridgerton" or "Beauty + the Beast castle grounds" vibe dream. 10/10 recommend this venue and 10/10 recommend the sweetest clients who brought me there 🥰😭sooo much love for Jill + Tyler 🫶🏻

Slow down. Take it all in. Celebrate the quiet moments and the little details. Big milestones are always worth documenting - but I think the most beauty lies within the everyday.
Just one moment from such a beautiful day. Blessed with another full-circle day on my end - having photographed Hanna when she was a junior bridesmaid in her brother's wedding, again for her senior portraits, then her engagement and now her best-day-ever. Hanna + Shane - you sure know how to make a gal feel so loved 🧡
When life comes full circle. From meeting Brooke + Dan at their engagement session and hitting it off right away; to their intimate and epic elopement in Wyoming; to becoming sweet friends who we enjoy monthly group date nights with.... and now witnessing them embark on their next journey (and having been the only person in the world other than their ultrasound tech/Dr. to know the gender of the little bebe until the smoke went off.) God is cool. Thankful for these humans.
