🚨We have some BIG news to share!🚨
Starting February 1st, we’ll be taking ownership of our favorite restaurant in Lander - Mulino!🎉
We’ll be starting off with the same menu and will ease into some small changes. We have some fun ideas to bring to the dining scene in Lander and are excited to share those with you soon!
Concerning Prairie Fire Catering events, we will honor any event that we have already booked. Any future catering inquiries will be taken on a limited basis, but we do plan to continue serving Lander (and beyond) as Prairie Fire Catering as much as possible.
Mulino will continue to employ all of the current staff members who want to stay on with us. We will also be hiring for front of house and back of house positions, so if you are interested in working with us and you’re excited to learn about food, beverage and hospitality, please reach out!
We look forward to serving you at Mulino in February!

Hello there! 👋 We are Prairie Fire Catering! Our names are Joe and Angie Hammer, and Jackson is our little boy - he’s our tiny apprentice. We are a chef and sommelier team, originally from the Philadelphia area. We met in a tiny fine dining restaurant and fell in love with the idea of one day owning our own business. We spent a few more years honing our craft in Philadelphia before moving west. Joe was the Chef de Cuisine of Mica and Blackfish restaurants and Executive Chef of the Valley Green Inn which served as both a historic restaurant dining room and also a full service catering venue, before moving to Lander and taking the opening Executive Chef position at Mulino. He has recently moved on so we could pursue this dream. Angie was a Floor Sommelier of Mica before taking on the GM role of Blackfish and successfully passing both level one and level two, Certified Sommelier in the Court of Master Sommelier program. She then went on to become the Assistant Beverage Director and company Sommelier of Fearless Restaurants where she oversaw the beverage program for 9 restaurants.
We are so excited to see our dream become a reality, after so many years of hard work and planning. We love hospitality and can’t wait to serve your next event in Lander, WY. Feel free to DM for more information, questions, or to book your next event!
