A Brief Story of Accidental Passion
Hello! I'm Tatiana (or Tati for short {TAH-TEE}). In 2013 I moved to the Langdon area from Iowa and finished my education to become an Art Teacher. In Spring of 2014 as I was applying for teaching jobs and not feeling very enthusiastic about my future as a teacher the local flower shop put a realtor sign in the window. I laid awake each night dreading interviews as I hate talking about myself (writing this bio is a bit torturous for me). I one day realized that I could become my own boss and use my artistic skills daily if I purchased the floral shop. Thing is I had never really had an appreciation or understanding of the importance of flowers, let alone any idea how to arrange them or sell them and no idea how to operate a business. I was in for an interesting journey. On October 1, 2014 I signed the papers and took the keys and started the process of learning floral design and basic business operation. It’s now been over 5 years and flowers have become my true love. I’m obsessed with all the varieties and have fallen head over heels for using this medium to express emotion and create beauty and happiness. I’m passionate about floral education and am always looking for a new class and technique I can bring to my wonderful clients. I’m currently a member of our State Florist Association’s Board of Directors and am one of the members helping get a state certification program going and am looking forward to testing for National level credentials as well in the near future.
I love working in all areas of floral design from weddings, to everyday, to sympathy, and more. Reach out anytime and I’ll gladly help you make your floral related dreams a reality.
