Celosia! Got these beauties cut today before temps continue to drop. I was so sad last year when I didn’t have the capacity to grow them. But hey you can only do so much when you move a farm.

They were seeded late and got planted in the tunnel late. Thankfully due to a pepper crop failure I was able to squeeze them into a tunnel.

I love all the different types and colors. Thanks to my dear friend Alice of for sharing some of her extra seed.

Find these and many other dried florals at our first wreath workshop. Spots are going fast. Snag yours on our website. Link in bio💐

Surprise! Today was our last market harvest of the season. I spent most of the morning cutting greens for and . While Franny was doing our bunched greens she found these gems.

I ran out to the brassica block to see for myself. I wasn’t convinced on my planting timing that they would be ready yet. But so stoked to see them.

We have a lot of great treats lined up for y’all Saturday. It’s the last of the season. I hope you will come say hi/bye and load up on treats. See y’all from 10-2!⚡️

It’s Fall y’all! Starting this weekend you can now find our delicious microgreens .

Stoked to have our product across the water. Delivery by bike is my goal for the next few months. Today was a fun start as I haven’t ridden my bike that much the past 5 months.

Enjoy pea, broccoli, and radish micros this week! I’ll be trialing different varieties here and there. Happy eating✨

Grace’s last day! We have been so thankful to have this wonderful human on the farm for the past couple of months. She has brought us so much joy, laughter, and energy.

Last year I ran out of steam and my winter plan crashed. This year I knew I needed the extra hands this fall. So very thankful Grace could help us get our goals accomplished. All the winter babies are rocking because of her hard work.

While we will miss her we are very excited for her future and all the cool things she has ahead of her.

We miss you already and can’t wait to have you come back for an assist here and there.

Willow was too sad to look at the camera.

Thanks for everything Grace✨

Happy Friday! Feeling a slowdown in the weekly grind. Tackling some organizing and clean-up today.

Also our favorite thing is to be challenged by a man. We got a fun delivery today and he was unsure we could unload it alone and quick. He also asked if more people were going to help and if we had a tractor. I of course was like this isn’t our first rodeo and we are fast. I asked him how we did and he responded “I was suprised how fast y’all did it”…yeah man!

Cheers to being badass women and proving men wrong every single day.

Willow looking handsome next to our beautiful overwintered cauli! These babes got seeded in July and with some patience we will have cauliflower in May! Yeah that’s months in the ground. They are looking way better this season so we are so stoked! Very thankful for the rain!

We use a lot of landscape fabric on our farm to manage w**d pressure. Especially when plants will be in the ground for months. Every season I’m trying to overwinter more things. Really loving all the learning and possibilities this time slot has.

Still loads to do to prepare for winter. But thankful for days when I can leave town for an afternoon. Happy Fall y’all!

Y’all these radishes! .farms packed up the most beautiful august radishes for Saturday.

You may notice a dip in our usual summer abundance this year. Been a bit of a tough blow for me. But stoked to have a fantastic fall/winter/spring. Some infrastructure building, staffing issues, and crop losses have made a tough summer for us. But thankful to see beauties like this coming out of the field strong. ✨

Thanks for your support, as always we appreciate all of you.

Hey folks! We’ve taken a few weeks off prepping for fall and also took some time to take care of my mental health. We do the best we can with a small crew. So I appreciate y’all being patient with us!

We are so excited to be back Saturday! Lots of gorgeous arugula. Which is a summer time specialty. We will also have our other greens and many other treats. Rumor has it there may be some sungolds!

July Juggling. This month has been hard for us on the farm. Sadly we will be skipping the one more week. But we will forsure be back August 6! I wish we were skipping so I could take time off. But the truth is we are hustling to complete an impossible never ending list.

July for us is a lot of prep for fall/winter/early spring. I’ve seeded stuff that won’t make me money until May. I’ve been working early and late to fill the gaps. This year is still a rebuilding year for us as we built more infrastructure in June(which put us behind) and have more to build in September.

So much beautiful progress and growth has happened. But gosh I’m tired. Farming takes so much from you. It’s not just the physical part…it’s doing my own sales, marketing, admin work, trying to have a social life, taking care of my home and myself.

Yesterday it caught up with me that wasn’t taking care of myself. I love this work so much but gosh it’s hard at times. Y’all take care of yourselves. Summer is hard on the body and mind. I’m dreaming of a more automated irrigation system, more time off, and time to cook and do the hobbies I love.

Thanks to all the amazing folks who have been supporting us. We appreciate all of you. The farmstand will be open Saturday and Sunday✨

Big farm upgrade for me today. Bought a BCS and some rad implements from ! So stoked to have a flail mower and power harrow now. This is going to be a game changer for the farm. Ya girl has been w**dwacking 100ft beds phew.

Big shoutout to .farms for loaning me her bcs the past season and a half until I could get my own. Been working my ass off to make this happen. So many purchases have needed to happen for the farm but I haven’t been able to do it. Feels so dang good!

Thanks and for helping me load these babies up. Flail mower was touch and go.😂

✨Monday✨ Big day on the farm! Got about 6k plants in the ground. Leeks, Dahlias, and sunflowers. A bit later than I’d like. But here we are. Working on building infrastructure and planting more things for the fall/winter time slot. With hopes that I can take less jobs off farm and hire more regular help next season.

Big planting days like this give a big positive boost for the start of the week. Thanks .farms .lou for all the hard work!

Now if we could get some rain that would be dreamy. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t worried. But the long range isn’t looking good for rain.

Happy Flower Friday y’all! This week feels like it’s been a turning point for me and the farm. For the first time in a long time I have taken a big exhale.

For the past 3 seasons I have been hustling and working my ass off for this feeling. Gosh I’m feeling so damn happy. One of the main things is a big loan and grant I’ve been waiting on for some months now. Money stress is probably the worst part of owning a business. This week I was able to get a loan that will be a game changer for me and the farm.

For so long I’ve been scrappy and just piecing it all together. With a whole lot of help from family, friends, kind landowners, and .farms 💕

The past 3 seasons and this one I’ve worked other jobs on top of farming to make it all work. So I could keep Franny paid, pay my own personal bills, and keep the farm propelling forward.

So many times this week .farms and I have been like “we are really doing it”. This week has given me a big dose of hope that all the sacrifices on and off the farm have been worth it. Last year I fully burned myself out to get to this point. Which was really tough.

I want to thank all of you for riding along on this journey with me and the farm. Still quite a bit of hustling to do but feels like we are headed in the right direction✨

The radishes of our dreams! .farms did a small harvest of them while I was at my other job earlier this week. She told me how stunning they were. I couldn’t believe it! Slugs, wire worms, and lack of rain have been making our harvests tricky. But today we pulled these stunners out of the bed with very little loss.

Sometimes you get it just right. Come snag them this week. We missed a couple seedings awhile back so may be out of radishes for a couple weeks after this one.

May madness! .farms and I have been working hard to get beds prepped and get so many plants in the ground. Excited to be able to get more compost out this season especially for our brassica block.

Tomorrow these beds will be covered in landscape fabric and planted out. Day by day this little farm is changing.

Thanks as always for your support! ✨
