Meet Patsy, the most resilient hen you will ever meet. When she came to me she was starved and not well taken care of. All of her family has since passed. Her and W***y the rooster live together laying no eggs and are expensive pets who help mow down grass around the property.

Today her new puppy friend decided he would “play”with her. Well we caught it but then she ran away. The eagles started circling as we called for her. I gave up and was like her fate has been met.

Wrong, her puppy friend found her again under the farm truck. I tried grabbing her and she starting pecking me. Finally with two people we got her.

No scratches or wounds from her puppy friend. Also where was her rooster in all of this? He was watching in the coop and just hanging. Anyways she’s fine, and farm life is always an adventure. Here’s to season 6 of my little farm and not giving up like Patsy. Some changes are being made to make a better life for myself. I’ll keep trying and evolving to make the best life I can in this wild world. Hug your people and hug your chickens.

Hey Folks! The time has come to close the farmstand. I’ve been mostly solo farming the past two months and I need a break. I was able to hold on for an extra month. But it’s time to re-group for next year.

I will reopen it this Spring. Stay tuned for a date on here and my website. Thanks for making this season a great one. I appreciate all of you investing in this farm. More overall updates coming soon as iron out the plan for next year.

Happy Last Farmers market! Come say bye to us and snag loads of veggies. We work really hard to get this food to market every single week for 6 months. Id love to see you support us one last time !!! We need you! The hardest part of this job is the highs and lows. I can’t control the weather and the food doesn’t stop growing. Please brighten our day and come out and face the wind with us. 💗
