The Sales Representative is a hands-on expert expected to build floral/supply accounts for McCallum Sauber Wholesale Florist. Sales Representatives provide excellent customer service and are responsible for all aspects of customer accounts, including:

Greets and assist customers over the phone and in person

Develops a strong product knowledge

Develops new customer accounts

Daily communication will all customers via phone calls, email, text and occasional customer visits

Promptly responds to customer requests and provides comprehensive follow-ups as necessary

Communicates effectively to manage customer expectations

Communicate with Management regarding all aspects of the sales process

Resolves customer complaints promptly

Assist warehouse operations to ensure a safe and clean working environment

Assist with the receiving of product deliveries and warehouse inventories

Team Responsibilities:

Treats everyone respectfully

Forms strong working relationships with existing sales, warehouse and distribution teams

Brings issues and solutions to Management in a timely manner

Performs other duties as needed such as pulling orders, cleaning coolers, processing flowers, etc.

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum two (2)+ years of floral and/or floral supply experience in a mass market, retail or wholesale environment, required

Customer service mentality; has a genuine desire to serve the needs of the customer

Strong verbal and written communication and listening skills; ensures information is passed on to others as needed

Exhibits initiative and drive to achieve results quickly, efficiently and accurately
Self-starter who works independently and in a team environment

Thrives in a fast-paced environment

Exhibits sound judgement; anticipates the implications and consequences of situations and takes appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies

Maintains a professional, calm and tactful demeanor

Manages multiple projects and timelines with a sense of urgency and follow through

Well organized, analytical and detail oriented

Identifies additional tasks to be completed and willingness to assist others

Energetic and flexible

Follows direction with focused attention

Willing to learn

Working Conditions:

Constant to frequent standing and/or walking

Frequent need of lifting or carrying (up to 25 lbs.)

Frequent periods of working inside a cooler with temperature ranging between 32 and 45 degrees

Extended hours during busy season

5 days per week; additional hours as needed during holidays / busy seasons

Normal Working Hours: Mon shift: 4:00am – 1:00pm / Tues – Fri 5:00am – 1:00pm / Saturday shifts: 5:00am – 1:00pm

McCallum Sauber is looking to hire a courteous and responsible driver to make deliveries of flowers, plants and supplies in DC / VA / MD area. Our drivers represent our business while on deliveries to our customers.

McCallum Sauber Wholesale Florist is a family owned and operated business delivering fresh floral products to local florists in the DC Metro area and has been in business for over 80 years. Our warehouse is located in Lanham, MD.

Driver’s primary responsibilities are to pack and deliver floral orders to our customers (we provide company-owned delivery vans). While not on the road, drivers will perform additional tasks including, but are not limited to: cleaning vans, unloading pallets of product, cut/process flowers, and clean/organize walk-in coolers.

Drivers must possess: a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, ability to lift at least 50 pounds, ability to work early shifts (starting at 5am), and a clean driving record.
