USA Farewell Tour 2024 – A Funk Finale

After 52 years of constant road life, the time has come for Average White Band to hang up Its hats, pack up the pieces and close out 2024 with some wonderful concerts, festivals and shows across the entire USA. The band has just completed a month long epic UK tour which included such acclaimed stops as Royal Albert Hall, London, Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow and The Usher Hall in Edinburgh, with another 14 concerts in major cities the length & breadth of the land.
Now, United States, here they come:
Beginning the first weekend in June with Newport Beach Jazz Festival, the group will then take on the Winter Park, Colorado Jazz Festival, Pittsburgh Jazz Festival, as well as a host of indoor shows in the Northeast, the Midwest, Southwest. They’ll revisit old favorites such as Humphreys-By-The-Bay in San Diego for one last time. Also some farewell visits to casino dates in Dania Beach, FL, Spotlight 29 in Coachella, CA, and a couple intimate club dates in November, at Yoshi’s in Oakland.

Detroit Music Hall, and Warner Theater DC are two standout inner city concerts to give them the opportunity to say farewell to two of the band’s most ardent and loyal fan-bases, and should be extra vibrant. It will be funky as hell, and AWB will pull no punches on this final cruise across the nation. Don’t miss them, for as one Scottish reviewer just wrote “we will not see their like again” – a very poignant but apt tribute to what the group has meant to millions of people worldwide.

Don’t miss AWB’s last hurrahs throughout the USA this year. A Funk Finale indeed.
