Hey friends, sickness has struck, so we’re closing the shop today and tomorrow. That means we’ll only be open this Saturday.

Funny how life works—you adjust your hours, and then your body says, “Nope, you need more rest!” as we prepare for the peak of the second half of wedding season.

Since we’re a small business with a cooler full of blooms, we’d love for you to place an online order for pickup on Saturday or swing by our stem bar that day.

Many of you might not know that when Becca isn’t working with flowers, you’ll find her in her early childhood classroom focused on autism spectrum disorder, where she’s a special education teacher to her absolute, most favorite tiny human beings! She would never dream of asking for help, which is why I am!

We all know that teachers carry so much, including a heavy financial burden for their classrooms. Becca is making a huge impact in the lives of these kids and their families, helping them build essential skills and confidence. Her sweet tiny humans need a rug for their classroom so they can learn foundational skills in a group setting, gathered around Becca and her staff.

If you could donate to her classroom to help lift a small burden, it would mean the world to her and her students!

It’s the week of our “tiny shop-versary”… when we opened our first storefront knowing that we would move a few months later (see a peek at how much work needed to be done for us to get into our new space in the last photo).

Was it a little crazy?

Maybe a little.

But there were a lot of things on the journey to have a storefront that led us to our current space. It’s a story we love telling. A story of lots of bumps in the road and being scared to dream.

Here we are.

A year in.

Dreaming.

Innovating.

Doing the work.

Are we equal parts exhausted and so freaking happy?

Probably.

But we are so incredibly proud too!

Cheers to year one with a storefront. To setting ourselves up for a successful future as a business and also taking care of our mental health. It’s a hard balance to find, but we’re doing the work.

We still get giddy when someone visits for the first time and starts gushing about the shop!!

We are completely obsessed with the citronella backyard scent from ! We first got their incense cones and sold out in a week because we made everyone smell them—it’s unlike any other citronella scent we’ve experienced.

Bonus: it’s made right here in Michigan.

We’ve dreamt of a downtown shoot forever! Since we started our business in our own city garden, it’s always been on our bucket list, but it just never happened… until now!!

This gorgeous couple had the sweetest, most special day celebrating their love, and it was beautifully captured by our girl Mars! We couldn’t be more obsessed.

Don’t get us wrong, we love a big celebration too, but these intimate moments have a special place in our hearts. It’s why we created our Petite Bloom collection for à la carte flowers. Whether you need a full design or just a bouquet, we’ve got something for everyone.

Happy 4th anniversary to our business!! We were just two gals growing flowers to spread joy and design Becca’s son’s wedding. We never could have imagined or dreamed of where Sparrow Bloom would be today!! We’re so grateful for the support of so many who have helped us dream and grow.
