A community gathering spot and recreational jewel of northwest Indiana, La Porte County Fairgrounds first opened in 1845 and then moved to its current location in 1962. In 2020, Fairgrounds Management and Events Corporation was formed to oversee the grounds on a yearly basis, allowing the Fair Board to solely focus on the La Porte County Fair. Fairgrounds Management and Events Corporation now over

sees the maintenance and development of the grounds as an ideal venue for private rentals, festivals, concerts, motor sport events, conventions and more
