We had all the ingredients for a spectacular night: gorgeous backdrop , stunning florals and design by , and a steady diet of fabulous food and craft cocktails by but it was Liza and Joe Max's choreographed first dance to "Everywhere" by Fleetwood Mac that literally brought the house down. The Half Moons kept the dance floor packed all night. It was all FUN. What a fabulous evening for a fabulous family that really knows how to have a good time! We loved working with you!

Last week I learned of the tragic passing of a brilliant soul - Margaret Grade, who I was fortunate to know. Margaret Grade was a pioneer of the farm to table movement, the proprietor of Manka’s Inverness Lodge in Inverness and Sir and Star in Olema and a true creative genius. She was unlike anyone I’ve met. Her words were unimaginably eloquent and gracious, her sense of style - perfectly imperfect, her sense of hospitality and quality standards - world class. I struggle to even find words that capture her - she was clever, creative and complex. We first met in 2009 when I inquired about hosting a brunch for local clients at Manka’s boathouse. Margaret told me, in no uncertain terms, that brunch is “not what they do.” And so, we shifted the entire plan to include what they did do - she was worth it. Gratefully, through that experience, I earned her trust and she mine. She generously brought me aboard with several very special clients to plan magical weddings at the Boathouse - certainly the highest compliment I could have received. I am grateful for the projects we experienced together - the last that was particularly challenging due to an unforeseen set of personal circumstances for our clients. She went above and beyond (as usual) and we both delivered against all odds. The world has truly lost a very unique and special person in Margaret Grade. There will be never be another like her. Here are images from our most memorable projects- notably our first in 2009 and last in 2022. It's worth zooming in on her menus- she had a way with words. May she rest in peace and watch over the 15 year old twins she left behind.

Well hello there! Did you know today is National Wedding Planning Day? What better day than that to introduce myself. I’m Rosemary Hattenbach, founder and lead event producer at Rosemary Events. I came to planning events more than 20 years ago after learning how to produce in the film industry, a role which has inspired my approach to producing weddings. There is so much more to an extraordinary wedding than beautiful flowers and a good band. Every day I draw on the skills, work ethic, and collaborative spirit I practiced in film. I see myself as a director of sorts, bringing out the best from the amazing talents I collaborate with to create one-of-a-kind weddings. We drill down on every layer of the event experience - making sure each moment is intentionally choreographed, with sight, sound, and emotion all harmonizing to unfold with effortless grace. I don't do it alone, I have an incredible support team, and an A-team of extraordinary creative partners. Together, we curate events that hit all the right notes. Aside from the production task at hand, I’m an extrovert, and people person, and love getting to know families and couples. I genuinely love my job, and am truly invested in creating a deeply personal and fun weekend experience for them and their people. On this day, Mother Nature tested our mettle with a winter-like mountain storm system in the middle of summer. We had about 6 hours to pivot and transform our riverside mountain ceremony to a magical tented creekside one. And excuse me while I humble brag, but we nailed it! I hope you aren’t faced with something like this on your wedding day, but it’s in these moments when the value of an experienced team becomes crystal clear. It certainly is a luxury to enjoy the support of a concierge-style planner and designer while you plan your wedding, but there is also tremendous benefit of having 20+ years of strategic planning, back up plans, and creative solutions in your corner. There are no do overs. If you have the means, there is no better wedding investment.

When guests have gone to the expense and effort to join you for your destination wedding, it is such a nice touch to welcome them with some kind of hospitality gift. This is a favorite from a very special Jackson Hole wedding a few years back.

Think edible, local and informative. For me, information is the most important of the three. A reminder of the weekend's activities and details such as parking, transportation and timings will ensure your weekend flows smoothly. You can be sure they don't miss the weekend details by accompanying them with a treat. Everyone loves a brimming bag of goodies but if you are limited on budget, a petite box of chocolates will also do the trick.
