Hey whats good mi jente¿ I would like a minute to make a shout out & a big thank you to some good people. 1st congratulations to Ray Padilla Jr. on his accomplishment as a graduate from DACC Class of 2024, & his parents and some good friends Ray & Olivia Padilla. Thank you for having me DJ this special event. 2nd Congratulations to Pedro Lorenzo Frias (forgive me if I didnt spell the names correctly). & his mom Angie. Thank you so much it's been an honor to have DJ'ed for your daughter's graduation a yr. or 2 ago & this past saturday I had the honor if DJ'ing for her son's graduation, Rio Grand Prep. As the years went on In my pre-teen years, I had the honor and became very close to this next man. He also had a passion for music both listening to and playing it as he was a bass player for a few of the best local bands here in Cruces at the time. When bands such as Kruces, Rio, Siempre, etc. were around. I started with vinyl with my dad, and converted to 8 track tapes with my brother-in-law, Mr. Rudy Valenzuela. May he also forever more R.I.P. Besides music & letting me tag along with him to local gigs and some out on the road as his rowdy. He also taught me his rules and what it was to be a good big and small game hunter as well as a fisherman. I was very fortunate to have such positive male role models to show me everything from great music, how to do basic car maintenance, to jack of all trades in several fields as I worked for credits towards my Associates degree in HVAC, and all that is required to know in that field. The rest has been self taught. Also much credit to my mom, I showed interest in just about everything including what entailed as far as work inside the home. I owe my mom many thanks for showing me how to cook, bake, laundry, cleaning you me it. Hell I learned how to bartend at an early age at house parties and family get togethers, lol. Gen-x Let's Go! This ones is for my brother-in-law, my Coonie Rudo Valenzuela. Thx for introducing me to the world of Funk music like Latin Breed, Tower Of Power & many more. Amor Coonie. ❤️ 😎

I owe my dad many thanks for showing me his love for music, both my amazing, lovely parents for showing my sisters and I growing up what real true, & what a respectable love truly is and what it requires to have a marriage that lasts a lifetime together. It was a beautiful thing to have witnessed. Those two were inseparable, and to watch them dance in sync like they did was awesome. Thank you mom & dad for every little bit of what you taught us growing up over the years & still today my mom which I have the upmost & unconditional love & respect for. To my mentor, my protector, my hero, my best friend. My dad, Mr. Samuel M Montoya, may you forever R.I.P. in heaven & I know for certain you're dancing in the skies.) Prayers going out to those that aren't feeling very well or that don't feel much like celebrating & for those out there that don't have familia or many friends/acquaintances because let's be real. There's plenty of people out there that don't unfortunately. So those that do count your blessings, try your best to not take so much for granted. The very 1st time I'd ever heard Latin Breed greatest hits I was about 10-13 years old. By none other than my late, great brother-in-law Mr. Rudy Valenzuela (Coony). Latin Breed's album Breakin' The Rules released Que Chulos Ojos in 1976. Later on in 1990 people were able to get it on cassette tape.

Whats good friends & family much love going out to you all. This one is a bit different. This post is for all fellow DJs out in the world. Today January 20th is National DJ Day. A big thanks to Lisa out in EP who sent me a message wishing me happy national DJ day. To be honest I'd never heard that this day exsisted, lol. So thx again Lisa for that. With that being said, a Big shout out to those of us that provide a service of entertainment, putting smiles on peoples faces, stiring up old memories with some of the songs we play, & making new good fun memories for so many during thier special event. It can be a lot of pressure on us DJs more than you all know. It's way more than just getting up there and play songs. No, there's way more that you don't see behind the scenes. It can be stressful at times when there's tech difficulties, power outage, breakers trip, etc., etc. We always have to expect the unexpected, keep up with equipment, replace, or repair costly equipment, our vehicles, trailers & on & on. Many people think that some of us charge to much, friends & family want discounts. That's all good, when possible, but you need to remember we are out here trying to make a living also. We families, bills just like everyone else. So please don't be so hard the next time you're in the market for a DJ. To all DJs My hats off to each and everyone you from here in Las Cruces & throughout the U.S. & beyond to the rest of the world. HAPPY NATIONAL DJ DAY.

This has been a huge problem with LCPD. How many more of our citizens here in Las Cruces have to die before DOJ comes to take over this P.O.S. infested police department? It's P.O.S. cops, like this one & former Christopher Smelzer who murdered my nephew Tony Valenzuela, officer Jerad Cosper who killed Amelia Baca. Officer "Brad Lunsford pulled out his gun and shot Eze on the left side of his head at point-blank range." These are just a few unfortunate events that have happened involving LCPD officers. How do these so called police officers that took an oath to serve and protect citizens of Las Cruces get punished for their serious crimes not to mention, drug dealing, r**e, DUI, only to name a few crimes committed by local police officers. You name it they've done it. There was an officer who was caught having an affair with a fellow LCPD officer's wife & a bottle of wine in his patrol car no less. How do these"officers" get punished? Basically they are given a "paid administrative leave" vacation, or in the case of former officer Christopher Smelzer. Who not only did NOT serve 1 night in jail for the murder of my nephew Tony by Vascular Neck Restraint (VNR). But Smelser had all charges dropped by a well known corrupt Las Cruces judge Driggers (that also needs to be looked into by DOJ or higher ups.) And the icing on the cake was when former LCPD officer Smelser was hired on with the Doña Ana County fired department. 😳 Be careful Las Cruces, because God forbid a fire breaks out and Smelser shows up. Would he try to save a life, or turn away pretending not to see you and leave you to perish in the fire. New Mexico "Land of Corruption." Las Cruces Police Department, you need to do WAY better.
