Some of my must haves for outdoor entertaining during the summer ✨🍋

If I HAD to pick one thing that is a must, it’s shatterproof glassware. I have had these wine glasses for years and absolutely love them. They’re a step up from plasticware and reusable but you don’t have to worry about anything breaking. They’re perfect if you host outdoors or do pool days!

Scenes from brunch! You guys know I looove hosting dinner parties but it’s so fun to switch it up sometimes. Daytime hosting lets you mix up the menu, decor, and you get to go to bed early (which is one of my favorite things lol)!

Here’s the thing, 2023 was the year that everything changed for my business. I launched Be My Guest, connected with soo many of you, and truly got back to the root of why I started The Uncommon Hostess in the first place. I can’t tell you how happy that makes me.

So here’s my vision board for 2024:

+ At the end of the day, I just want to continue to inspire people to gather 🫶🏻 We have gotten so far away from connecting with each other, we all sit behind these screens too often. We need to be sitting with each other in real life, talking, laughing, and making memories!

+ I promise MORE Dinner Party Guides so you can host stress free and focus on what matters, connecting with the people around your table.

+ Sharing more inspo, ideas, and brands that will make us all better hostesses.

+ Make Be My Guest an even better experience for all of my members and future members. More video how-to’s, guides, inspo and more is in the works as we speak!

A look at NYE’S of the past 🪩✨🍾 What is everyone’s plan for ringing in the new year? I never go out!! It’s nothing against people who do, but I love being at home celebrating with my favorite people (per usual)! I am such a homebody, that’s probably why I love hosting so much lol.

We are traveling this year but if I wasn’t I’d definitely be doing a glam dinner party!

+ 1st photo was from a little get together from years ago. The theme was “Dip into the New Year” and everyone brought a dip to share.

We’re hosting traditional Christmas for this one. Greens, reds, and lots of ornaments all around.

This is like building a capsule wadrobe but for hosting! If you invest in some staple pieces you can use them over and over again. Some of these items will depend on what type of style you like… if you prefer a tablecloth vs a runner and placemats OR pillar vs taper candles. But that’s all just personal preference.
