THE ‘CAT IN THE HAT’ WELCOMES RAINBOW DREAMS EARLY LEARNING ACADEMY STUDENTS BACK-TO-SCHOOL, MARCH 2 - DR. SEUSS’ BIRTHDAY!
Las Vegas – February 26, 2021 — The Cat in the Hat will socially distance while welcoming students back to class Tuesday, March 2, at 8 a.m., at Rainbow Dreams Early Learning Academy (RDELA), 950 W. Lake Mead Blvd. The character from the popular children’s book written in 1957, will kick off in-person learning and celebrate author, Dr. Seuss’, birthday!
“This will be the first time that our students will learn in a classroom setting this year and for our youngest students, this will be their first time attending school. How awesome it will be to have the Cat in the Hat to cheer them on and to get them excited about education,” said RDELA Executive Director Janice D. Henry. “After getting greeted by our special guest, the kids will go to their classrooms, each room decorated in a Dr. Seuss theme.”
Seuss, who died in 1991 at age 84, wrote and illustrated more than 60 books. The day will be a tribute to Dr. Seuss’ legacy of getting students excited to learn at an early age.
“I am super excited that Dr. Seuss’ rhyming writing style will be the focus in our early learning education. If children can rhyme, they are ready to read,” said Jasmine Boone, who is the Lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher.
The Academy is accepting students for the 2021-2022 school year. To attend Rainbow Dreams Early Learning Academy, your child must be 4-years-old by Sept. 30, 2021 for the Pre-K program; and 5-years-old by Sept. 30, 2021 for the Kindergarten program.
