April is my wedding anniversary month, so I thought I would share one of my wedding photos with you!

Jewel tone flowers are perfect for Spring with that pop of bright color like Orange and/or Fuchsia, but can easily be changed to have a moodier vibe for the Fall.

Orchids are my favorite flower and I love when I have the opportunity to incorporate them into a design concept. “Orchids are the Grace Kelly of Flowers. Anyone who’s ever seen an orchid knows they possess grace and elegance.”

On wedding day, it is normally a 22 hour day for me from beginning to end. If your Hair & Makeup start time is 6:00 a.m., I am up by 3:30 a.m. getting myself ready to get to your suite.

I believe it is important for me to make sure both vendors & wedding party start off the day happy, calm, fed & caffeinated, and mostly importantly taken care of.

Here are 3 reasons why:
1. This is the perfect opportunity to show appreciation for your wedding party and loved ones.

2. It will be an opportune time to spend some quality time with your wedding party and loved ones, before the wedding and/or scheduled wedding following the wedding.

3. This will be a more intimate affair, giving your loved ones a more private setting to get to know each other.

Elegant black attire & decor weddings are in full swing and are trending. However, wearing certain colored attire at a wedding could be considered a cultural taboo or faux pas, especially at Asian Weddings. Black is often associated with funerals, mourning, and bad luck.

If you are the one getting married, be very specific on your guests’ attire if you are adamant about certain colors or dress code.

If you are a guest, adhere to the dress code to avoid offending the couple and/or other guests. Unless requested by the couple avoid White or Ivory, it’s not in good taste to upstage the Bride/Couple. Unsure of what color or attire to wear, reach out to the couple or Wedding Planner for reassurance.

Flexibility & Pivoting go hand in hand when Wedding Planning. We had a wedding that started off with plans for 125-150 guests and a budget of $120,000+ and then life happened. The couple decided to pivot to a more intimate wedding. In these circumstances you have to be flexible, but that doesn’t mean you give up the dream.

When you have a smaller amount of guests you are able to take your budget and invest it into your wedding wishes, like top of the line luxury floral, decor, and vendors.

What are your wedding wishes and what other wedding must haves are you willing to be flexible on to make them come true? One tip would be swapping out mediocre favors and adding that to your budget for a fab guest experience. Follow us for more!

3 things to consider when hiring the right Wedding Planner for you:

1. Experience- I feel like organized, stress relief, loves weddings, are the things that you expect to hear from a Wedding Planner when interviewing them. However, the amount of experience they have in dealing with problem solving, vendor management, and conflict resolution, should be at the core of the conversation. Ask what was the worst thing they had to deal with at a wedding, and how they handled it. You’ll learn a lot about that Planner instantly.

2. Honest & Transparent Planning Process- Everyone who has gotten married knows that the true fairytale are promises of flawlessness and perfection. So you want a Planner who is willing to tell you the truth and like it is.

3. The right vibe, the right tribe- Don’t just ask for a quote over email. Have a consultation, preferably face to face. How did you feel about the conversation? Trust your gut! If you feel like this is your person, than it is. Don’t compromise that over price, it’s better to wait and save.
