The generosity of our clients is amazing. Thank you to Ice Mortgage (formerly Ellie Mae) for your continued support of 5 local Charitable Organizations providing much needed resources within our local community. The plush animals, capes, masks and words of encouragement that your guests prepared lovingly during Experience 22 will bring courage, hope, and smiles to so many.

Thank you to Communities in Schools, the Ronald McDonald House, Community Outreach Medical Center, The Foundation for Positively Kids, and St. Jude’s Ranch for Children for distributing these bundles of love for us to your kids.

We are always so appreciative when our clients choose to support our local charitable organizations during their programs. This week we would like to thank Komodo Health for their inclusion of Love Dog Adventures, our local Pet Partners Affiliate.

These amazing volunteers and their loving owners train to provide comfort and joy throughout the Las Vegas Valley. From comforting victims of tragedy, injury and abuse, to reading to at risk children and seniors, to relieving stress and tension to first responders, and so much more, the therapy that they give freely is genuine and remarkable.

Thank you to all of our furry friends and their humans for coming out to share their love with our clients, and thank you to Komodo Health for your generous support of their efforts.

Unlike a lot of other companies, we don't post many photos of our client events as we believe that they don't belong to US, but to the client. Their event isn't an opportunity for us to showcase ourselves to the next potential client, but to put our heart and soul into delivering the best program that we can for the event operating TODAY. Often, we "miss the boat" with getting great room shots, or videos of performances, but that's not our focus, nor should it be.

So, what we can start to do is share with you some of the awesome talent that we've had the opportunity to feature at our events, and will make a conscious effort to do that moving forward; so as our first featured act - Meet the Black Donnellys Band. These guys are amazing. While the average corporate event doesn't often call for an Irish Band, we got lucky last month and featured their talents for one of our favorite clients.

Cleaning out a file, I stumbled across an article that I contributed to back in 2018 that I don't think I ever shared about ways to incorporate charitable organizations into an Exhibit, Meeting, or Event - written by Linda Armstrong at Exhibitor Magazine. Organizing and facilitating CSR Programs and events are one of my favorite things to include in a client program - thanks to the dozens of clients who have opted to give back a bit to the Las Vegas community over the years!

Executing an effective cause-marketing campaign requires shrewd partner selection paired with an inventive on-target activity. This planning guide, from eight exhibiting veterans who have staged successful altruistic activations, will walk you through six critical steps in the process.

With Nevada DETR announcing that as of May 1, it will be required to show weekly proof of a job search, we realize that this may impact many of our field team for whom we know there is no work in our specialized field to seek. While Las Vegas is seeing a fabulous rebound in our leisure travel sector, it will be quite some time before the meetings industry sees that same rejuvenation.

Activity Planners is proud to support the efforts of our team member, Maria Dreshar, with circulating the following petition to get a job search exemption for those collecting Unemployment Benefits who are classified as being within the Meetings/Conventions/Entertainment/Events category.

Please review the following link and if you agree, please do sign and share the petition with others in the field. There has been much discussion about our industry being overlooked, and every voice counts to protect our collective community. Thanks for your consideration.

Last night, we had the distinct privilege of being invited to an advance screening of the new blockbuster film, Ford v Ferrari at the gracious invitation of our friends at Shelby American.

For anyone hosting events in, live in, or are just visiting Las Vegas, please take an hour of your time to visit the Shelby American Factory and Heritage Center for the full story of the life of the American Icon that Matt Damon represents brilliantly in the film. For tours, group activities, or buyouts for special events, the facility is a best kept secret that you need to see to appreciate.

These were an API project in honor of friends the Eichelberger Family. We are delighted to know that they are being distributed and our love is with the families who are fighting for their little ones. Every Baby Counts, indeed!

The Eichelberger family spent months with their son Robert in the Sunrise Children's Hospital NICU. In his memory, they created the “Berto Bag,” which is filled with helpful, comforting items, such as snacks and hand sanitizer, and distributed to NICU families.

12 Months Of Giving - Month 2 - Electronics!

Electronics Recycling - Activity Planners, Inc. will be collecting electronics through the month of February for donation to the Blind Center of Nevada. Click the link to see what they can accept, and you can run it by the office, hand it off at an event or game, or we can swing by and get it from you. We can arrange for individual receipts if needed.

Every month of the year, Activity Planners will be facilitating a donation collection for one of our amazing local organizations. It's a great way to clean-out the garage/closets/etc. and support our city one donation at a time. Thanks for your consideration!

12 Months of giving Starts NOW!

API's January Giveback - Not sure what to do with the collection of Holiday cards that arrived to your home or business this season? We can help with that. Activity Planners will be collecting holiday cards to send to St. Jude's Ranch for Children in Boulder City to recycle. The youth residents recycle and re-purpose these cards and sell them in their gift shop to raise funds.

So, before they hit the "circular file" please consider sending them over to our offices. You can drop them by during the week, or hand them off at an event. It's a great way to support our local community and reduce landfill. We'll be delivering them on January 29, so anytime before then, we'll be happy to take them of of our hands!

12 months of giving will continue in February with Electronics Recycling to benefit the Nevada Foundation for the Blind, so please keep an eye out for our update on that, too!

Las Vegas Friends - The Countdown is on! We are still collecting children's books to be donated to Spread the Word Nevada through December 1st.

Any gently used children's book from board books through teens is appreciated. You can drop them off to the API office at Rainbow/Patrick or contact me to coordinate pickup/delivery. Let's clean out the bookshelf and make room for the holidays!

One of the things that we are most thankful for is the generosity of our clients in supporting the local Las Vegas community during their programs. This week brought another (40) bikes to the Patrick Kelley Youth Foundation and (100) stuffed plushies handmade with love to Communities in Schools. A heartfelt thanks to Intrigo Systems and our partners at the Red Rock Resort.

As one of our November Community Givebacks, Activity Planners will be sponsoring a children's book drive for Spread the Word Nevada.

This amazing 501c(3) is the foremost organization in supporting literacy programs to our community. Throughout the month of November, we will be collecting gently used children's books at our office throughout the month, which will be cleaned, sorted, and distributed to families and organizations in need of age-appropriate material.

Young child, early reader, youth novels, board books, just about anything that your family has enjoyed but otherwise has outgrown, please consider dropping it off or handing it off to one of our team members on site at an event.

Activity Planners was proud to sponsor a bag build to provide comfort and convenience bags for parents with newborns in the NICU at our local area hospitals. With the effort of our volunteers from Ferritta Academy Middle School, Spring Valley High School, And Lucille Rogers Elemtary, we furnished and finished over 100 bags for Berto’s Bags 4 Babies, a local 501(c)3 organization.

These smiling faces are proud of their work and rightfully so! Today, they came to the API office, stuffed plush animals and wrote letters of inspiration for kids in need. These will be distributed by the Ogden Family Foundation in their good work within our community.

Activity Planners, Inc. isn't the biggest in the country, but we do strive to set the bar for quality... but many don't know that we have some colleagues in the industry that feel the same. So much so, that we started a Consortium of small, independent DMCs several years back and together, we made the list!

Our subsidiary, The DMC Alliance, is the first listed under the group section... hanging in there with the big players in the industry.
