Disney•Pixar’s Coco Live-to-Film Concert at UNLV on Local Living
Local Living interviews conductor Esin Aydingoz!
Aydingoz, is an emerging conductor and composer working in a wide range of genres, including animation, silent films, documentaries, TV series, video games and stage musicals. As a conductor, Ms. Aydingoz has worked with various international orchestras such as the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta Fólclorica Nacional de México, and Istanbul Film Music Orchestra. She began her live-to-picture conducting journey with the Berklee Silent FIlm Orchestra earlier in her college days.
Kick off your Nevada Day holiday weekend with fun for the whole family! At Disney•Pixar’s Coco Live-to-Film Concert, Oscar®-winning composer Michael Giacchino’s (The Incredibles, Jurassic World) musical score is performed on modern, pre-Hispanic, and colonial era instruments by the Orquesta Folclórica Nacional de México while the film plays on the big screen.
The Local Living segment aired on the CW 10/21 at 9:55 am PST and with a re-air on Thursday 10/24 on NBC at 3:25 pm PST.

On October 25 witness Disney•Pixar's Coco Live-to-Film Concert featuring the musical score performed by the 20-member Orquesta Folclórica Nacional de México. The are a musical group that fuses pre-Hispanic instruments with instruments from the colonial era, creating a unique and distinctive sound that evokes the rich history and culture of Mexico. Each member of the orchestra is an expert musician who is highly trained in the interpretation of a wide variety of genres and styles of Mexican Folk music, such as Mariachi, Jarana, Son, and Huapango music, among others.

Archetypes explores the universal symbolic archetypes that appear in stories, legends, and myths throughout the world—great floods, creation, paradise, apocalypses—as well as characters that appear in stories across cultures. Expressing themselves through guitar, voice, and percussion quartet, the ensemble will explore global musical traditions taking the audience on a vast musical journey grounded in familiar stories.
