Tuberose Queen of Las Vegas!

I am so proud to accept my self-proclaimed title of Tuberose Queen of Las Vegas. 🤣

On behalf of the tuberose, the hummingbirds, the bees, the butterflies and the micro-pollinators, I wantto thank all who have supported my efforts, bought my flowers and bulbs and shared my joy.

The intoxicating fragrance of the tuberoses has given me flower confidence. 🤪 Feeling so happy!

80/20 is our benchmark for sustainability

80% Grown on our farm or locally
20% Imported as needed

80% flowers
20% greens and packaging

80% beauty
20% fragrance (often this percentage is higher)

80% Joyful work
20% Necessary work

Depending on the occasion or season, we are able to acheive these standards the majority of the time.

We almost never use floral foam or plastics and try to reuse supplies as much as possible.

Thank you for choosing us for your floral needs and supporting our efforts in sustainable floristry.

Do what you can with what you have. In our case, we have flowers.

The season on uncertainty is distant for all of us individually. Occasionally, we find ourselves together in a national, global, or universal time of uncertainty.

In all of these scenarios, the best we can do for ourselves and our community is to breathe and give our do what we can to shine light.

What better than to breathe in the fragrance of tuberose and while breathing out all anxiety and stress.

This bucket will be donated to various organizations and people around town who deserve a breath.

There are plenty of tuberose this season. Let us know if we can help brighten your breath. 🤍💗

Which is your favorite flower?

All 5 flowers in this arrangement are on my favorites list, but right now, the bearded iris is holding my attention.

They are blooming and reblooming in 100+° with minimal water, since April. 👏

Definitely worth the investment for gardeners of Las Vegas.

Vegas Summer 🔥

In the Vegas Summer, we try to use warm season/ climate flowers. Flowers that do not require the cooler or a lot of time for rehydration, and can withstand the heat for transport and for the intended purpose.

Orchids and tropicals are always reliable in the summer. Healthy gerberas hydrate very quickly. We love dahlias, but they do need to hydrate at least overnight.

Plants can loose color if they sun "tan"

You can hardly tell these are genetically pink tuberose.

They are currently growing in full Vegas sun, which is very hot from 7 am to 8 pm.

They are very fragrant as their white counterparts. Tuberose are most fragrant in the late afternoon and evenings. These 2 stems fragrant my entire living room.

The clusters of florets are more dense on the pink variety.

Next year, I will replant a test group in a shadier area and adjust to soil to see if the pink will show more.

The uncertainty of introducing new flowers to our climate is the reason we did not sell the pink and yellow tuberose bulbs this year.

It is peony season. Time to eat!

If you, your partner, your mother, or any person you know love peonies, this is the time to enjoy and splurge!

Everyone should experience a peony arrangement like this at least once.

Peony season starts in May and ends in late July, so enjoy them while you can, and please don't request them in the fall or winter. 😉

Dormancy (rest) is the Yin to Blooming's (productivity) Yang.

One of the most enlightening things I've learned from growing flowers and gardening is that harmonious balance between the elements, energies, and perspectives produces the best results.

We all have our seasons to start, to prepare, to grow, to bloom, to descend, and to rest. The end of 1 cycle is the beginning of a new one.

While others are withering in the scorching heat, the dahlias are blooming effortlessly.

Which seasonal flower do you identify with and where are you in your cycle in this season of heat?

Scroll left to see the softens between a double and a single hollyhock. The doubles look like peonies.

First signs of tuberose.

Planted 10 days ago on April 10, these double pink tuberose are already starting to emerge.

When they first start sprouting, they look like blades of grass, so do not pull them.

Sending growth energy to all my flower friends who are planting tuberose this year! If you bought bulbs from us, keep us updated on your progress! Excited to spread the fragrant joy throughout the Vegas Valley.

The muscles behind Pollinated

Hi. For those who don't know me, my name is Van. I am a flower farmer florist in Las Vegas, NV.

My dream of growing flowers started in 2017. I started working with flowers in 2019. I started building my farm space and actually planting flowers in 2021. In 2023, I started successfully getting blooms and feeling confident in my flower growing abilities.

The mission of Pollinated is to learn, operate, and teach sustainable floristry. Sustainability for the environment, the floral industry, and for ourselves, as artists and humans. We try to use local American Grown seasonal flowers when possible. We use minimal packaging and try to reduce, reuse, and recycle in both our floral design and farming processes.

Our floral services fund our flower farming. We offer all services relating to florals: holiday, personal, special occasion, weddings, events, and corporate floral services.

We specialize in specialty seasonal flowers. We enjoy experiencing the variety of flowers throughout the year and believe flowers should be experienced in real life, not just in pictures and social media.

Sustainability of the community is also very important to us, so we also try to fit in workshops, classes, and non-profit events in our yearly schedule.

If you are interested in our flowers, services or what we do, please reach out and we will be happy to share our flower journey with you.

Twist of Sheree.

Our newest bearded iris to bloom. She is burgundy with a cream center. She is fragrant and multi-bloom. She is ruffled and long-stemmed.

The question is, do we cut her or leave her in the garden? 😍
