The first rule of DJ Club is: play the tracks you love and you will always be playing the right tracks.

DJ Club was inspired by the movie/book Fight Club as a way to go against what what has now become the norm in our city when it comes to DJing and the opportunities there are for up and coming DJs in our city and others alike. As Las Vegas is becoming the home for so many mainstream producers/DJs the DJ scene has changed quite a but from what it used to be before $100,000 set were the norm. A handful of talented producers are making “bangers” while so many are trying to reproduce the recipe to get paid and not producing or playing the music they truly love. I believe that is a horrible thing. Many of us got into this to play music for a living and as every person is absolutely different so will their choice in music, so when DJs find themselves playing what they think it takes to get paid then they end up hating the career they chose. Can you imagine getting the opportunity to do something you love and then it slowly becomes something you hate, being called a sellout for playing tracks the people who know you know you would never play? Having anxiety over your set list every night, is the club owner going to like my set, are the fans, why do I have to play this? I have been on both sides of the turntables and I can tell you that I swore to myself I would never go through that as a DJ and if I could I would make sure none of my friends in music would have to either.
Since DJ Club has adapted the theme of Fight Club, to break out of the norm and do what we want, and because their first rule is “Don’t talk about Fight Club” and no matter what I need to sell a few door admissions I had to change that rule. I wanted to get rid of rules completely as music is art and art has no rules, neither should music. So our one and only rule is “Play what you LOVE!!!” If you play what you love, I mean truly love it, that love translates and the energy from playing music that moves you will always move the crowd. When I took on these events/parties it was under one condition, that I got to run the parties the way I wanted and if I don’t hit the numbers I’ll end them no questions asked. Our first year was successful as we always hit the numbers and have actually doubled the original numbers from the first event. The vibe at a DJ Club meeting is like no other and I’m in remarkable company and the most fortunate person in the world that all of the DJ Club members have accepted my invitation to join, because DJ Club is an actual club for DJs and we have a meeting every other month in Las Vegas that is also an event where everyone is welcome to attend. All of our members are encouraged to bring anyone they like to come play during their set so membership is much like the Mason's where you have to ask one to be one. If a DJ does well during their opportunity to play and then shows the club love and support then they will be asked to join the next calendar year. If they don't do so well then that goes on the DJ that invited them and then their membership will be under review and could be expelled from the club indefinitely. That being said if the artist you represent knows one of our club members then they would have to ask them for the opportunity to play during their normal 2 hour set and then they would have to also show their support for our club significantly before the end of the calendar year as we only induct new members at the first meeting of the year, which just past. Our next meeting is April 27th, 2018, all of our events for 2018 are on our event page” - Marshall E Brushfield, DJ Club Founder
