We just realized it’s been quite awhile since we shared a view above the beams. It always impresses us how some of these barns were built so long ago. So many questions: how many men needed, how long took, how a beam that long, wide and heavy was lifted.

Intriguing really.

The craftsmanship being the primary reason we decided to keep the barn’s interior as untouched as possible. Don’t mess with greatness and take a page from European travels. Old structures have a place- let the beauty of time worn wood shine on its own.
