This ain’t about Thanksgiving.

Yesterday I was listening to what I know will be our February book club read and Sarah Jakes Roberts wrote the foreword—she just hosted a conference of over 40,000 women!!!

But she said she had a moment years before that moment where she thought, “How can I lead these women where I’ve never been?” Oof

I’ve often thought that thought.

Fast forward.

I posted a video on YouTube about our Amanda Frances Rich AF Study group for 2024.

I shared how I got this random check and direct deposit this week, right after announcing the study group.

BUT

Right before posting the video on YT my lawyer/possibly imposter brain kicked in:

“What if Amanda sees this and sues me?what if she tells me to take it down and cease and desist? I didn’t get her authorization to host this group. Who am I to guide my community through these principles from this multimillionaire lady when I haven’t hit my first million, yet?”

Then 2 things happened after I pressed post anyway:

1. Amanda herself commented encouragingly!

2. My amazing business coach Stacey commented so lovingly.

Mind you, Stacey is the whole reason I read the book. Because well a blonde, top bun-wearing chick sipping champagne and soaking in a tub of dollars wasn’t a book cover that screamed, “Michelle, this is for you!”

Boy was I wrong.

Maybe this is a Thanksgiving post afterall. I am so grateful for this crazy windy twisty path I’m on. Here’s to our first million and beyond.

We launch in January. Can’t wait to see this fb memory!

There’s so much amazing good that Seneca Williams Therapy puts into the world. That she chose my little corner of the world to capture visuals to tell her story is such an honor for me.

We’re discussing her seminal work “i’m not yelling” a Black Woman’s guide to navigating the workplace.

March 2021. Eviction notice for Her Power Space in hand. Tears brimming eyes…I asked this amazing friend to be my “Sales” mentor.

He replied, “I have no idea what your business is but I believe in you, Michelle.”

He knows SALES & he knows DATA! & oddly enough our businesses ended up being more aligned than either of us could’ve ever known.

If I hadn’t asked and he hadn’t said “YES” who knows what would’ve happened. So glad I don’t need to know.
