One of our guests, Jess caught this 8.25 lb bass on his very first cast of the day during his fishing trip at King Fisher this week! In a follow up message from his trip he told us “ What a beautiful place you have. I haven’t been to heaven yet but I imagine your place is a close second! ....today was a top 5 best days for me in my 54 years on earth!” We are so glad he had such a great experience. One of our brides, Elizabeth at our log cabin during her bridal session before her wedding at King Fisher Society & Events. The log cabin at King Fisher was originally built in the late 1700s and became the centerpiece of a farmhouse. It was discovered and restored in the past 10 years. We are happy to report that the Richmond Mill Lake spillway has held and not breached as was erroneously reported this morning. So far it is working as it was designed to work. Lots of water flowing through the concrete box but no water flowing over the earthen dam! This video was taken at 10:00 am this morning (09/17/2018). Our thoughts and prayers are with our whole community and everyone affected by Hurricane Florence. .
