This is a bittersweet post for me. I’ve spent the last almost 13 years immersed in the photography industry. I have loved the people I’ve gotten to work with. I feel honored to have been able to tell their stories and capture images that will be a legacy for their families in the years to come.
That said though, its time for me to begin the next chapter of my life. These past years have been one hell of a roller coaster. It’s TERRIFYING giving up being a professional photographer because it has become such an ingrained part of my identity. And what a ride it has been! It’s been amazing, scary, challenging, fun, along with a whole bunch of other feelings in between. Now I am engaged myself and moving to a new state and challenging myself again by embarking on a new career in a completely different industry. I can’t help but feel like this is the perfect opportunity for me to pivot.
So … what does this mean for me and my business? I’m not currently accepting any new clients effective immediately. I’m still here for those that I have worked with in the past.
I’ve photographed so many incredible people and moments and my life is forever changed because of my career as a professional photographer.
