First wedding of the season in the books! Here is what I have to show for it….

1. Grabbing new lanterns for the head table because bride didn’t love what ended up getting thrifted.

2. Bridesmaids downloading Spotify songs at the church….

3. While people pile into the reception… in the dark because we lost power.

This is what wedding day looks like for us. absolutely killed it at the reception, tracking down a generator to power some string lights and dispersing lanterns around tables for a “romantic glow” lol. We had intro and first dance songs ready to go through a Bluetooth speaker and didn’t miss a beat.

You will see the silver lining soon thanks to capturing pure beauty. The storm passed just in time for golden hour. The wind died down as the sun set and we finally captured our picturesque setting.

By the time we wrapped golden hour photos, the power came back on and we danced the night away.

You can’t make this s**t up and this couple has a great story to tell. Happy wedding season!!

This is 41.
Woke up to 2 giant hugs from my kids.
Read a book with James.
Kids played rambunctiously, resulting in crying.
Showered with Les.
Adam made me homemade cinnamon rolls.
Open presents.
Kids played rambunctiously, resulting in crying.
Woods walk to reset everyone.
A little alone time behind a locked door.
Sing happy birthday and blow out candles.
Kids played rambunctiously, resulting in crying.
Natural History Museum to reset.
Avocado toast and an hours worth of trying to get Les to nap.
Failed nap, so a glass of wine.
Chalk with James.
Les finally crashes in the basement.
Door slams.
Les moves to my lap.
More wine. Netflix and chill.

Next up, steak dinner and a Chiefs victory. ♥️💛

You guessed it! I have a secret weapon that I use on almost every single wedding day. Meet my husband, Adam.

"hey babe, how does this thing in this Pinterest picture stand up?"

"f*ck, there are 20 mile per hour winds, how many points of connection do I need to make this flower hoop stay up?!"

"babe, it's wedding day, I need 20 more flameless votives like 5 minutes ago!"

"Call your mom, I need your help today, I'm not tall enough to hang these ights."

He is my jack of all trades and there is no way I could do this without him. Thanks for believing in me Adam... and for always being there! ♥️

“I heard of Stacie by recommendation from our decorator and I don’t know what we would have done without her - she did all the things you would want from a coordinator but in addition to that I have continued to learn more and more of how she went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. For example:
-helping setup decorations at the rehearsal dinner when we were behind
- picking up sandwiches for the bridal party’s lunch
- bringing drinks to everyone in the wedding party throughout the reception
- refilling waters at all the tables at the reception
- picking up pizza for the afterparty
- making sure the bride’s family was sat at the correct table when there was a mixup with table numbers
- having the staff bring walk the cake pops around because people didn’t see them where they were stationed
- going all the way up to the bridal suite (which was a hike) to get the groom’s grandmother a late night cup of coffee
There is plenty more to be said about what a great job she did, but these are just a few of the things that stand out!”

✨Day of Planner Pro Tips!✨

1. Hire a planner, lol! Or at a minimum, put someone else in charge of the flow of the day. When your big day arrives you want to be in full bride (or groom) mode and not planner mode. Give the stress to someone else!!
2. Make a shot list for group photos. Family photos can be daunting and take forever! With an organized shot list you can power through 30-40 photos in 20 minutes. Work with your photographer or planner ahead of time.
3. Plan your procession. Think about who is walking down the aisle with who and what songs you want played. Most of the time the Mother of the Bride is the odd woman out because the bride is walking down the aisle with their father. Mom could walk with an usher, friend, close relative or could walk with the bride and father or even join them once they are half way down the aisle!
4. Don't drag out cocktail hour too long. 45 minutes to an hour is plenty of time for your guests to grab a drink and mingle. Make sure you don't drag it out too long because guests will get hangry!!
5. If you dance, they dance! The cardinal rule is that the party goes where you go. If you want everyone to dance the night away, then make sure you are too! If you want a relaxed environment, then relax, but stay close to the crowd to keep them engaged.
6. Plan a grand exit! It doesn't have to be grand but it is a great way to bring the party to an end and get the very tired newlyweds off to the honeymoon suite! Sparklers or confetti are fun, but a simple line of your guests to cheer you off is sufficient. It's a great motivator to clear the room.

We are here to help! For more tips and ideas on how to make your big day super smooth, book a planner date with us!

A big advantage in working with a planner for your wedding day is getting your day of itinerary nailed down. The day fills up quickly, but with a careful plan, you can be sure you have time to enjoy each and every moment. ⁣✨

Hands down, the ladies will take more time. The number of girls doing hair and makeup makes a big difference on how your morning will look. If you have have roughly 5-8 ladies getting pampered in the morning, then a 8-9am start time is ideal. Talk with your hair and makeup pros to find out how much time they need for each person. Then add in some buffer room and plan on having some refreshments to munch on while you get ready. ⁣✨

The next milestone to pay attention to is when the bride gets dressed. It is a balancing act.... you don't want to be in your dress too early, but you also want time to feel relaxed and indulge in the moment. With a 4 or 5pm wedding, I usually have my brides getting dressed around 1:30pm. From there you can move on to first look photos (with your groom, dad, friends, family, whoever) and then move into additional photos. ⁣✨

Meanwhile, the guys can start to get ready They don't take nearly as long and the getting ready photos can usually be done in a quick 20 minutes. Have the guys plan on lunch on their own and give them a solid time to group up and get ready. Then, they too can move into photos.⁣✨

Your wedding party and family in your procession should gather at the ceremony location roughly 45 minutes prior to the ceremony. Get comfortable and tucked away so guests don't see you as they start to arrive. Typically guests will appear about 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony.⁣✨

And then you are ready to walk down the aisle and get married!⁣✨

What part of your wedding day has your stressed?⁣
