Here are some FAQs about Saturday's event:

When and where is the event?
• It is this Saturday (May 22) at Jug Tavern Park in downtown Winder next to the Community Center located at 113 E Athens Street.

Who is playing at the concert?
• Akins Ford has sponsored the Swingin' Medallions band. Their website is

Do I need tickets to attend the concert?
• No, the concert is FREE.

Are masks required for this event?
• No. The Governor has lifted the restrictions regarding outdoor events, masks, social distancing, etc. However, you are welcome to wear a mask if you are more comfortable doing so and we encourage anyone who is feeling unwell to stay at home.

What time does the event begin?
• Food and drinks sales will begin at 6 PM. The concert will be from 7-10 PM.

What food vendors will be at the event?

Will the vendors accept cash or cards?
• Some vendors will accept cards, but others will be cash only. Regions Bank will be providing a mobile ATM on site for those who may need cash.

Will you be offering or selling reserved seating or tables?
• No. The City will not be providing any chairs or tables, nor will they be reserving sections for any concert attendees.

Can I bring my own chairs to sit in?
• Yes, we highly encourage you to bring chairs or a blanket to sit on during the concert.

How soon can I set out my chairs?
• The park will be open all day. However, please note that by leaving your personal belongings unattended in a public park you are assuming all risk and responsibility. Someone could take your belongings or move them, and the City will not have any security before the concert to monitor your personal belongings.

Can I bring my own cooler?
• Yes, you are welcome to bring your own cooler with food and drink. However, NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL. Alcohol can be consumed on site during the event, but it can only be purchased from the licensed vendors (Top Dawg Tavern and Latin Flavors Steakhouse) at the event.

Can I bring my dog?
• Well-behaved dogs on a leash handled by a well-behaved owner are welcome. Please remember to clean up after your pet by utilizing the doggy waste station at the center entrance of the park.

Will there be restrooms available?
• Yes, there will be portable restroom trailers on site as well as ADA compliant restrooms.

Will there be any road closures associated with this event?
• Yes. At approximately 5 PM, E Athens Street will be closed from Park Avenue down to N Williamson Street. Also at that time, E Candler Street will be closed from Park Avenue to E Midland Avenue.

Where can I find handicap parking?
• Handicap parking will be available directly in front of the Winder Community Center. Guests can access the parking by turning off of N Jackson Street at the Annex and circling through the theater parking lot to enter from the back side of WCC.

What if I need assistance during the event or lose someone in my group?
• Winder Police Department and Winder Fire Department will be onsite to help. A first aid tent and info booth (which will also double as “lost and found”) will be on the lefthand side of the park on Mill Street.
• If you have trouble locating these booths, please look for any staff member wearing a florescent vest. They will be able to assist you or point you in the right direction.
