New tattoo shop is now open in our old space!!!!

Our new shop INKWELL TATTOO is officially open! Thank you everyone that supported us and helped us turn this dream into a reality. We all worked really hard to create a chill atmosphere for our clients. We still have a lot to do so there won’t be a grand opening just yet.

We are officially closed. A new business will be opening in our location in the coming months. They may want us to announce when they are opening and we told them we'd be happy to!

Thank you to everyone who came in and supported us! You are AWESOME! I'm sorry we shut down and left some of you without a safe and fun place to throw axes, hang out, and drink beer!

To anybody out there with an entrepreneurial spirit, axe throwing is not a bad business if you have the time and energy to open one. We weren't making enough money to waste time and energy to stay open when JDs was open. Had we known they were going to shut down, we would have stayed open. After they shut down, I was no longer motivated to put in the time necessary to reopen. (The two years we were open, we only had 3 months that weren't profitable, and those months were not at the end. They were during Covid when we were forced to shutdown.)

If you want to give it a go at opening an axe business here in town, it can cost less than 20k to get open. Your rent will be the largest expense, especially if you're an owner/operator. Expect between 3-15k per month in revenue from axe sales. That does not include any potential revenue from alcohol sales. I do not recommend opening a kitchen and serving food, not unless you can compete with the better restaurants in town on food quality. Hint: You can't. Not unless your Grandma has a secret recipe book... An owner/operator can expect around 30-60k a year in profits. That is being there everyday, all the time, with no employees or 1 employee.

Just a little information for Thursday April 14th. We will be accepting walk ins and reservations from 12-4:45. We will be closing the doors at 4:45 to the public for a private event from 5-7. We will re-open at 7:00 to the public and again accept reservations or walk ins until 8:00. The league will go on as scheduled but start a tad late. Remember if you were not there for week 1, you can still participate. You will get 1-3 practice throws. If you need more, you can rent a lane for $19.99 per person. Again thank you for your support! Week 1 of the April League is in the books! Come out next Thursday to participate, and make up missed games. It's FREE! Tourney is free, 3-4 games per night, starting at 7 pm. We will provide some pizzas for free, and even a few beers. Pay $15 to throw all night on shared lanes with other league members, or just sit back and hang out and play your matches. We will be starting an axe throwing league today and every Thursday this month at 7pm. Every player will face off in three matches per day for the next four weeks to find our best axe thrower!

Today is the start so show up early to get warmed up (around 6-630pm). Free entry, you play 3 scored games for 4 weeks. They will take place on Thursdays, at 7pm. 4/7, 4/14, 4/21, 4/28.

Greetings!

I just wanted to wish you all an early Happy Easter and inform you of a special offer only available to our past and current customers, on the inflatable rental side of our business, we have had to raise prices to keep up with this darn inflation. You'll notice a number of measures we've taken, and I'm sorry but they had to be done. BUT TO MAKE IT UP TO YOU:

We are offering $50 off an any inflatable rental if you rent it for 4 hours!

Currently, all of our rentals are up to 6 hours, so if you are able to schedule your event around us, and limit it to 4 hours or less, you will wipe away all or most of the extra charges we've had to add this year, and in some cases more. Please note that our setup time is included in the 4 hours, but not our teardown time. So, if you schedule it from noon to 4, we will arrive at noon to setup, and return at 4 to pick it up.

This email is being sent to all of our customers from Lawton Axe Throwing & Lawton Inflatables. If it does not apply to you, because you're an axe throwing customer, this will most likely be the one and only email from us about the inflatables for the year. Sorry for the inconvenience.
