In the midst of the snow/sleet/sunshine/thundersnow/hail/65degree madness, I thought I would share some of my tropical wedding inspiration for a family destination wedding to Hawaii next month. I know. It’s a terrible job, but someone had to do it!
YOU GUYS. I just can’t even with these new shots my friend did for my poor, crashed website that I’m trying to revive! (Just for the record, I am the one who crashed it 😂) And just the fact that I used the grammar of a millennial or a X-gen or x-boomer or whatever they are called shows how stunned I am by her wizardry! Usually, she is trying to take pictures of my naughty, squirming children and grandchildren! From now on, Ashley, let’s just take pictures of pretty things!

Here’s a quick tip for winter brides: babies breath isn’t just for summer weddings! It looks magical in the winter, too! I didn’t capture this early enough, but we had a storm last night and the frost and snow outside the windows made a lovely backdrop to the babies breath and candles. Simple and beautiful!

It’s just gridwall paneling. But it’s so much more! I love this new versatile backdrop! Here, it’s featuring our newest neon sign: “forever, for always, and no matter what”
I love this new spin on an old tradition, captured so beautifully by ! The flowergrams! My mom is called Halmoni by my kids, because that’s grandma in Korean. Vaughn’s mom is Grammy, because that’s grandma in Utahn. They were both darling! This is something that neither of them got to do. My mother -in-law is the oldest girl in her family. My mother grew up in Korea and the war started on her 8th birthday. She doesn’t have any sisters, and this is really a Western tradition. It was so fun to see them sprinkling petals everywhere they went! 🌹👵🏼🥰
You can do anything if you are wearing the right shoes! This is the one picture I managed to take of our vow renewal, so this will have to tide you over until the real ones come back from my photographer. Amazing bouquet by (who also did some gorgeous floral earrings for my daughters and pocket squares for the boys!) Luckily, I work in the wedding industry, so these awesome shoes that I switched out me heels for are going to become a regular part of my business attire! 😊. (This is also one of my favorite spots at …the bride’s room-so pretty and a great spot to relax for a minute before your event!)

It was so fun to put together this magical background for today’s wedding! I prepped with all the vines, greens, lanterns and candles yesterday, and we added the fresh florals today. I forgot to get a picture with everything lit, but use your imagination! Congratulations to and her cute husband, Seth! ❤️

🎉New inventory alert! I scored these darling trees yesterday at one of my fave spots while “just browsing”. I brought every single one they had home with me! 😂These will be perfect as centerpieces, aisle markers, or tucked into all the nooks and crannies to give your event a minimalist, modern, industrialist, rustic, or woodsy vibe! It’s so versatile!

Pssst…want to know a secret? Some of the prettiest things and greatest deals are found in Bullseye’s Playground, also known as the dollar spot, in Target. Here you can find all kinds of treasures for 1,3, or 5 dollars. I scored these beautiful blush peony/garden roses there for 3 dollars each! AND those darling black wire vases for 3 dollars each! Luckily, they had exactly 12, so I have a full set for a 12 table event! The catch is that you have to be on your toes and scoop up these great deals when you see them, because every Target dollar spot is different, and the good stuff goes fast! But look at these cute looks for just a few dollars!
Want to take your event to the next level? Use customized printables! I got this stunning set from on their Etsy shop, edited it in Templett, sent it to for same-day-service, and picked it up just a few hours later! It made this bridal shower look like one the Kardash crew might have attended.
(I feel like that balloon on the table…) It was such a great party today, showering my soon-to-be-wed niece! Congratulations to Taylor and Cade! And FYI, for the next two weeks, open house hours are different. We will only be open Monday, March 28 from 5-7 pm. No open house Tuesday the 29th or April 4th or 5th.
