The Melody Theater is pleased to announce that we will be showing a patriotic film, "Midway" on Thursday, July 4, at 6:00 pm. We think this will be a great addition to all of the other activities going on that day in Leachville at the gym and at the fireworks display.

The film is about the Battle of Midway, a turning point in the Pacific Theater of World War II, starring Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Aaron Eckhart, Nick Jonas, Mandy Moore, Dennis Quaid, Tadanobu Asano, Darren Criss, and Woody Harrelson.

Admission is free for all veterans and $5 for everyone else. Plus our concessions are 2 for just $5. We have free passes and free concessions available upon request.

We are currently excepting cash or cashapp only at the theater.

The movie will start as activities at the gym are ending (6:00 pm) and will let out in plenty of time (8:30 pm) to get over to the Adams Gin for the firework's display.

After a good show at The Melody, I like to say, “You cheated yourself out of a fun time if you didn’t come”. Well, tonight I am gonna say, “you shot yourself in the foot if you didn’t come!”

The performance was awesome. Allen, his wife, Lydia, and the whole band were so nice and gracious and fun. They came out before and after the show, talked to and cut up with our guests. It was like a party of old friends.

I was on cloud nine when I left tonight, but I am also sad. You see, we only had 18 in attendance. The Melody is such a treasure. Tammy and I (and family) are working so hard to try and save her. Honestly, I think we might be her last hope.

Hey, I just got off the phone will Allen Hurt and he wants to do a meet and greet before his show at the Melody on Saturday, June 1.

The show starts at 7:00 pm. Meet and Greet will be from 6:15 to 6:45. Allen's show includes some old-style traditional country music as well as new country and even a little bit of rock and roll.

Allen is fun, funny, and personable -- and I know you will like him.

These are designed to print on 8.5 x 11 paper. We need help getting the word out. If you cannot print them, but are willing to hand them out, let us know and we will get you some.

Hey, everyone! The Finley Watkins show at The Melody on April 20 was a big hit. We had a nearly full house and the show was so entertaining. But most of our guests were from out of town. If The Melody is going to make it, we need more local support. Won't you please come out and support us with our upcoming events?
