Our Story
I consider myself a saucier chef. My passion lies with starting at the basics--the mirepoix -- the onions, celery, and carrots--from which I create the dressings, sauces, marinades, and broths that produce that final masterpiece--an explosion of tastes and flavors in your mouth. I specialize in creating unique, outside-the-box, simple foods: from finger foods, appetizers, snacks, salads, and desserts, to more elaborate breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Whatever is in your mind will reach your palette. I love to entertain, and over the years I have worked in all aspects of the restaurant business, from serving tables, bartending, managing kitchens, planning menus, decorating table tops, and cooking, to planning and catering weddings, charity events, bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties, and holiday parties. I've organized intimate events for 5 people to large gatherings of 200. I am known for my creative foods and presentations, and for spreading positive energy throughout the room. I currently run a cafe at Bon Appetit. I was born in Nebraska and have a BA in graphic design, but have been working with food and event planning for 10 years.
