How has it been two years? Meghan and Trever had a wedding in Kittery, and the evening before we had an incredible pre-wedding portrait session on the beach. This gave them more time to be present with family on their wedding day, and a private, low-stress moment to be photographed in the glow of soon-to-be-newlywed feelings.
When logistics make it possible, I love the idea of a separate pre- or post-wedding session to take the pressure off.

I’d love to say I am a truly documentary photographer, but I have found that guidance, direction, and subtle prompts are the best way to ease anxiety and the pressure of couples to “know what to do” during their session. It’s the best way to create the unscripted-looking and natural-vibe images, even though there may be considerable thought that’s gone into making them.
I love to incorporate movement, as I find giving couples something to do (simply walking or swaying) relieves a lot of that in-front-of-the-lens pressure, and natural moments tend to occur in between, which lead to truly authentic moments.
Images of you and your partner looking at each other transforms into connection. A snuggle evokes warmth, and a whisper leads to a 🤭 giggle and laughter—the natural kind that is hard to fake.

Sharing this spectacular fall orchard wedding, now on the blog, from last September. Dorothy and Adam's day coincided with Tropical Storm Lee, but thankfully the impact was low for Topsfield and we received just a bit of wind! Connemara House is a gorgeous venue with lovely orchard grounds and bright and chic interiors. I loved the couple's post-ceremony champagne tower, and their golden hour portraits simply glowed. What I love most about photographing weddings—beyond all the 💕 feels—is that a single wedding day consists of every genre of photography, and I am here for all of it. I love the variety.

Looking back at Dorothy and Adam’s September wedding . You’d never know there were crazy high winds and a tropical storm threatening their day. All was fine, and yes, it was just as gorgeous as this image suggests. Their’s is another wedding I can’t wait to show more of once I’m done switching my site to a new theme. I didn’t anticipate redesigning my website again so soon, but one company was bought by another… long story.
