I'm grateful to be a mother to these 2 wonderful humans. It's hard to remember who I was before them. Motherhood is transformational. It's exhausting and rewarding. Joyful and heartbreaking. Amusing and boring. It's a life of contradictions. The only exception being my love for them. That is constant.

These pups were dumped on the side of the road near the 1100 block of Wehmeyer Road in the Flatonia area.

They were taken to the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter, serving Fayette County Texas By Deputy Joe Gonzales.

Longest pregnancy ever! Ha ha, just kidding, these beautiful keepsakes were taken back in February by the very talented . Is it strange that I have the most self confidence and love for my body when I'm pregnant? Thank you Katie for capturing my last pregnancy so beautifully. I will treasure these forever.

I may be terrible about keeping plants alive outdoors (hence the fake replacements) BUT we've somehow managed to keep these guys alive for over a year now! I LOVE having living plants indoors but I always end up killing them!! What indoor plants do you love that are hard to kill?

Time moves more quickly these days. My 2023 resolution is to pause more to watch the light dance and the shadows shift. If we don't take notice of the transformation, everything will be different in the blink of an eye.

I've been feeling very overwhelmed lately. I've been trying to get so many things checked off my to-do list before the new baby arrives in February.... (did I not even take the time to post about baby #2 on here??) Sigh. Also, trying to make sure we do all the Christmas things, see all the people, and bake all the stuff. One thing I decided to let go of was real plants outside. These are my new new, no maintenence plants that will never die on me. It's a small thing but it's one less thing to worry about.
