Infrastructure Sets the Stage
Last week, we provided the Lee's Summit City Council an update regarding the progress at Paragon Star and we want to share some of that with you.
The below drone footage was recently taken and showcases the new transportation infrastructure at the site including two bridges over the Little Blue River, road improvements to View High Drive, and the construction of two streets: View High Parkway and River Road.
To date we have now moved over 800,000 cubic yards of fill as part of our mass grading of the site and constructed extensive water, stormwater and sanitary utility infrastructure that has included the installation of more than 35,000 linear feet of electrical and telecommunication conduit.
Earlier this month we initiated a Request for Proposal process to solicit bids for the construction of the Paragon Star sports complex. We anticipate construction of the complex to begin later this year and coincide with vertical construction in the village.
Look for future posts to track continued progress at the development.
Exciting things are happening over at Paragon Star!
Check out this new video which showcases the progress of the sports fields and infrastructure. So far, the project has involved moving over 700,000 cubic yards of dirt during mass grading. Significant underground infrastructure is also being put into place, and will include new stormwater and sanitary sewer features onsite, as well as the installation of 5,200 linear feet of 12โ water line beginning at Chipman Road and running under I-470 to the development site.
Stay tuned for more!

Work is underway at the Paragon Star project site!
Current activities include the mass grading of approximately 120 acres to serve the Village and Sports Complex. This work will be followed by the construction of new roads---View High Drive improvements north of I-470 and new streets View High Parkway and River Road, parking lots and storm water & sanitary sewer infrastructure.
The improvements are funded in part through the I-470 Western Gateway Transportation Development District (TDD) which secured $31 million through the issuance of TDD bonds in February 2019.
We will be posting additional updates in the weeks to come!
