Starting Monday, June 30, construction on View High Drive will expand to include intermittent ramp closures on I-470. Expect delays and plan alternate routes.

✅ Paragon Star remains OPEN and accessible
🚗 Best routes remain unchanged:
• From the west – take Raytown Rd
• From the east – use Pryor Rd or MO-350 Hwy
📍 Bannister Rd to View High is still the most direct option

Please allow extra time when traveling and stay alert for signage and detours.

JACKSON COUNTY – Permit work by the I-470 Western Gateway Transportation Development District for roadway improvements will require ramp closures at I-470 and View High Dr. from approximately 6 a.m. on Monday, July 7 through Thursday, Sept. 4. This work includes the installation of a diverging diamond interchange (DDI) on View High Dr. under I-470. For more info on traffic impacts, visit https://www.modot.org/node/71184.

CASS COUNTY – Crews will perform bridge maintenance repairs on Route B (E 347th St.) over I-49 in Archie, MO. The bridge will be reduced to one lane and will be controlled with portable stop lights on timers on MO Route B over I-49, from approx. Monday, June 30 at 8:30 a.m. until Thursday, July 3 at 12:00 p.m. and Monday, July 7 at 8:30 a.m. until Friday, July 11 at 3:30 p.m. This is not a complete closure, but motorist may experience delays.

The on-and-off ramps from I-49 will be open the entire time of the project, but no left turns will be permitted onto the bridge while work restrictions are in place. Please go right and find a turn around to line up to access the traffic lights. All work is weather permitting. Details: https://www.modot.org/node/71299

🚧 Traffic Alert: View High Construction Update 🚧

Heads up! Starting June 23, 2025, View High Drive will be closed north of I-470 as crews begin the next phase of roadwork. There will be no access from I-470 during this time.

✅ Fastest route: Use View High Drive via Bannister Road
✅ Easiest access:

🥏 Ultimate Weekend at Paragon Star! 🥏
Join us June 14–15 at Paragon Star Sports Complex for the USA Ultimate Masters Regional Tournament, featuring:
• North Central/South Central Masters Women’s Super Qualifier
• North Central Masters Men’s Regionals
• North Central Masters Mixed Regionals

What is Ultimate Frisbee?
Ultimate Frisbee is a fast-paced, non-contact team sport played with 7 players per side on a rectangular field with end zones. Imagine the endurance of soccer combined with the aerial skill of football—players advance the disc by passing it, and score by catching it in the opposing end zone. One of the sport’s most unique features is that it's self-officiated, governed by the “Spirit of the Game” (SOTG), which emphasizes sportsmanship, fairness, and mutual respect—there are no referees, just accountability and trust.

Why the Masters Division Rocks:
The Masters division features experienced athletes aged 33 and older for men and 30 and older for women, competing at a high level in both regional and national tournaments. Many of these players are former club standouts or semi-professional athletes, making for incredibly skilled and strategic play.

Teams to watch this weekend:
Representing regions throughout the North Central division, these Masters teams bring high-level Ultimate action. Recent past may have included clubs like “Surly” from Minnesota and others from the Chicago area.

🚧 DDI Construction Update – I-470 & View High Drive 🚧
Work is moving forward on the new Diverging Diamond Intersection! Recent updates include a new 10’ trail on View High Drive, Meers Road realignment, and lane shifts.

Heads up: Starting June 16, View High Drive north of I-470 will close for the next phase. Paragon Star will still be accessible via Bannister Road.

Projected completion: September 15, 2025
