Sister sister 👯‍♀️ Here’s a quick reintroduction to us! We’re Whitney & Taylor— sisters, lead shooters and editors at Bowen Films. Our company is family owned and operated (our dad, Tom, formed Bowen Films 24 years ago!) To be able to work with family every day is a privilege and we feel so fortunate to do what we love.

Some quick facts about us:

▪️We love our dogs! Whitney has 2 shih tzus (Frank and Ruby) and Taylor has 2 shih tzus (Stella and Chewy). They love bird watching, squirrel chasing and watching .

▪️Whitney’s go-to Starbucks order is a dirty chi latte and Taylor’s is an iced caramel macchiato.

▪️When we’re not filming weddings, you can catch Taylor coaching youth field hockey and Whitney in the yoga studio.

▪️Our favorite band is the Jonas Brothers and we’ve been to 7 of their concerts.

J+A first met on the Baylor University campus as undergrads. Upon meeting, the two immediately felt like they had known each other for years. After creating some remarkable memories throughout their time at Baylor, the two moved to Dallas where they started their post-grad life together. From that point, J had known for a long time he wanted to be with A forever 🤍 They got engaged in Austin and said “I Do” in D.C.!

It is safe to say that live streaming has become an essential element for weddings during this time, and we predict this will become the norm for weddings well into the future. So far this year, we’ve had the privilege of professionally live streaming 42 weddings!

Many times, our couples’ family and friends even dress up at home and take selfies with the live stream!

Today we are live streaming a virtual Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for a non-profit we work with:

Main Street is an inclusive apartment building and community center located in Rockville, Maryland, where 25% of the building’s 70 units are set aside for adults with disabilities and the remaining 75% are affordable housing options for all. It is the first of its kind in the country. Remarks by Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, Senator Chris Van Hollen and Congressman Jamie Raskin, among others, will be highlighted in this fully virtual event.

We have worked with the founders, Jillian and Scott Copeland, for several years. In fact, Tom filmed their wedding over 20 years ago! We have worked with the Copelands to produce videos for their school (The Diener School) in Potomac and now for Main Street. Not to mention, we have documented many life events for the family throughout these two decades. We can’t think of a bigger honor.

We are proud to be partners of Main Street, where there is inclusivity for all 🧡💙

A+S's video is featured today on the home page of ! Their D.C. love story started in 2012, when they were both working at . Sam was hired to cover the Senate, while Ana was hired to cover the House. They became close friends and even called themselves “work spouses.” Fast forward 8 years later, they tied the knot and officially became Mr. & Mrs 👩‍❤️‍👨 Thank you for the wonderful feature, !
