🎉 Celebrating Love and Milestones 🎉

Hey everyone! Today, we want to share with you the beautiful tradition of an Anniversary Dance. ❤✨ It's a heartwarming moment that takes place during weddings or special events, and it truly embodies the power of love and commitment.

🕺👰 What is an Anniversary Dance?
An Anniversary Dance is a special dance that honors couples who have been married for various lengths of time, celebrating their enduring love and commitment. It typically takes place during a wedding reception, but it can also be a part of other joyous occasions.

🎶 How does it work?
Here's how it goes: All the couples attending the event, regardless of whether they are married or not, are invited to join the dance floor. The music starts, and as the dance progresses, the DJ or emcee will occasionally ask couples to leave the floor based on the number of years they have been married.

💃 The Last Couple Standing
As the song continues, couples who have been married for shorter periods gradually leave the dance floor until only the couple with the longest marriage remains. It's a touching moment that showcases the strength and endurance of their love, and it's truly heartwarming to witness. We also do something special at the end 😍

Sometimes we are silent, sometimes we hype up the crowd. Depends on what the client wants. Either way, you have to admit when a song hits just right, there is no stopping the hype.

Never underestimate the importance of having a great MC that knows not only how to convey messages clearly, but how to use the mic to take the party to the next level.

This was an awesome time . We partied from beginning to end!

Okay, I am going to say it... If you don't feel this picture, we don't want you as a client. This is one of those sorry not sorry moments. We bring the passion, the fun, the skill, and the PARTY. Yes, this picture by itself may look like two lunatics, one playing air guitar, and the other drumming. What we see, is a song hitting so hard, that even those working have to party along with the crowd.

Funny thing is; Alex and I (Mario), were trying to figure out what song this was and couldn't. What do you think it is??

We are stepping into this week with the passion DJ Rio is showing here. It may have been "just" a wedding show, and we may have not even been the main DJ, but we always bring the energy and passion with us. We had a blast at the Halcyon Watson Wedding Show. We brought out some silent disco headphones (since we weren't playing the main music for the event), and had a ball.

It was a pleasure to meet some amazing couples and vendors, can't wait for this wedding season!

These past two weeks have been a whirlwind for us.
DJ Mario and DJ Alex are out on the high seas doing what they do best. 🛳
DJ Mario boarded the Holland America Nieuw Amsterdam first for the Soul Train Cruise 🎶 and then the Country Music Cruise 🤠 as the host of the cruise.
DJ Alex is aboard the Celebrity Summit as the official DJ of the Flower Power Cruise. ☮️

We are ecstatic to bring some DC flavor to these cruises and show guest from around the world a great time.

Was a busy day, but we pulled it off!

With all of the weather going on here in the DC region, we figured this was a good time to pull this one out. This past year showed that if it wasn't covid preventing something, it was the weather. Now this isn't just rain. Though rain is the most common; wind, heat, and yes snow are major players. What you'll need to decide with your planner is the very last second you can make a decision.

For most events, it is about one to two hours before start. You have to think about many things like chairs, sound equipment, flowers, arches, etc. All of this has to coordinated through all of your vendors. Many of your vendors may outline it in their contract, that a rain plan has to be enacted at least two hours prior to start.

This is one of the main reasons that we have a fully battery powered and wireless ceremony sound system. For all of our clients, all they will ever see of us is an iPad in the back of the ceremony. We can enact a rain plan in as little as 15min. we like to be the one thing you don't have to worry about.

Even though we are always ready, you will still need to devise your weather plan. We have had many weddings where there is no rain, but it is 98 degrees and no shade. Now your Aunt Mildred might be able to take that for 30min, but mine can't. Trust me, as much as your wedding day is about you and your future spouse having an amazing time, it is also about your guests enjoying it too. So if you can avoid soggy outfits, or heat stroke, DO IT.

What an outstanding couple of weeks it has been. We didn’t want you to think we would make any true posts, so here is a teaser. Check out our highlights to get a taste of how hype these weddings were. We will post some individual wrap ups from a few of them, but probably once this busy season is over.

We love what we do. One of this weekends weddings was an entire experience. From hype intros, to great speeches, to the ENTIRE family getting down on the dance floor. Sometimes we underestimate the beauty of having the grandparents (married 59+ years mind you), dancing with the youngest members of the family. All enjoying the same music, and celebrating together. If it looks like we are having fun, it's because we are. Yes we throw a mean party, but it would be NOTHING without you!
