10 years of crazy, beautiful, wonderful weddings in the books and yesterday’s celebration was the perfect day to end this journey on.

I’ll be moving on to slower paced living, enjoying more time with my kiddo and husband, and deep diving into my pottery adventure.

This past week was nothing short of magical (and insane!) We kicked off our week with Sarah + Matt at Glen Gordon Manor and wrapped it up with Hilary + David at Shadow Creek!

We worked both weddings with our floral wizard friend, and she helped bring my crazy design visions to life- like this wildflower es**rt display!

This wedding was rescheduled for THREE different dates thanks to the pandemic.

The upside was that I got to work with one of my all time favorite couples over the course of two years! This day was bittersweet- finally seeing it happen and then realizing my professional time with them had come to close.

I can’t wait to share more of their day.

To me, flowers are the love language of weddings- they’re romantic and soft when they need to be, or clean and luxe in minimalist form. They can make or break a wedding concept and like so many wedding designers, our designs are floral-centric.

It takes hard work and the right conditions to grow them, and the right hands to put together something beautiful with respect for the flowers and vision for the overall design.

They are a happy place in my work.

Here’s your weekly reminder to not settle when it comes to your wedding!

What does that mean for you? It means that this post is a sign for you to prioritize your must-haves! Are aesthetics at the top of your list? Or maybe you want a killer menu? Focus your resources on the vendors that are the most important to you, then everything else will fall into place. And if there is a vendor category that doesn’t do it for you, ask yourself if you really need that category at all.

Change is so hard!

This month, my incredible assistant Teassa made the move from Virginia to Colorado. Honestly, she had been my business rock throughout COVID, so of course I’m so sad to see her go.

But there’s beauty in change, it’s what propels us forward. Love her to the moon and miss her even more!

Is your plate ever too full, if all of the things on your plate make you happy?

I’ve scaled back the number of weddings I take, so I can focus on keeping them intentional and real, working with dream clients. This keeps me happy.

I’ve also made room on my plate for a collective of things that fill my cup, like my pottery .clay.co, styling projects over at , and putting on curated outdoor markets with a emphasis on women-owned and BI-POC owned businesses .

I’m also a mom to a 3 year old wildling.

So yeah, my plate is pretty full, but it’s all about the balancing what you love. That’s the whole point right?!

What are somethings you’ll never give up, even if it fills up your plate?
