First time for everything. I made this ballroom dance dress from scratch. It’s basically a swim suit with a bit more structure, and sleeves and a skirt. I love how it turned out. Look how cute she is!!!

This was a fun project. A former student of mine does ballroom dance, and she needed a dress for her Latin number. I’ve never made a ballroom dance dress from scratch. It’s a lot like a swimsuit with sleeves and a skirt. And I’ve only made a couple of swimsuits ever. So it was a good challenge, but it turned out so cute. And she looks darling in it and I can’t wait to see her all dressed up. Good luck, Eliana Spencer.

I have been working on this project for a couple of months now. Beautiful custom wedding gown. It was a challenge, but I love a good challenge. It has all the structure underneath with boning and pads. And all the lace was sculpted for a custom fit. Lots of handwork lots of applying lace to netting with invisible thread. I felt, half the time, like I was making the emperors new clothes. Lol. But it turned out so good and I hope she’s happy with it. I will post bridals as soon as I get them.
