Howdy Folks Howdy,
Kay and I are delighted to be filming Something in the Water for our Caldwell County Government TV Channel. Eric Stafford is kind enough to record and produce our show each month. We take an informal look at local musical events and play some of our favorite songs. You may view the show on local cable channel 190 or on YouTube here: Something in the Water with Patrick & Kay Crouch 9/26/24 - YouTube
We still have a few seats available for this fine Michael Reno Harrell concert.
Ticknock Studio Legends Concerts and Casa del Mulberry present An Evening with Michael Reno Harrell. Here is the official invitation, get your tickets reserved while they last:
Kay and I are pleased to announce that we, Ticknock Studio Legends Concerts, are co-sponsoring An Evening with Michael Reno Harrell on Thursday, October 17 at 7 pm.
Michael Reno Harrell is known for his songwriting, storytelling, and creative artwork. He is a national treasure who just happens to be a local friend, and we love him dearly. You may see this link for more information about Michael: Michael Reno Harrell. Singer, songwriter, storyteller.
An Evening with Michael Reno Harrell will be a house concert style event in cooperation with Steve and Donna Phillips. Steve and Donna are huge supporters of live music and they are graciously opening their home, Casa del Mulberry, 211 Mulberry Street SW, Lenoir, NC, to fellow music lovers. We are honored to be working with them on this special event.
So here is the plan. Steve and Donna will host our private event on Thursday, October 17 starting with a happy hour beginning at 6 pm. You may BYOB and we will set up a table for hors d’oeuvres. (You are invited to bring a snack to share.) The concert will begin at 7 pm; Michael Reno Harrell will perform two 45-minute sets. I will handle the reservations and ticket sales as usual. You may respond to this email for reservations or call me at 828.729.0853. I will confirm your reservation and create payment envelopes for those in attendance; please pay in cash as you arrive. Admission is $20 per person and ALL of the admission fees will be paid to the performer.
Thank you for supporting this event and please invite other music lovers to join in the fun by making a reservation and attending the concert. We are limiting the number of reservations to preserve the down-home feel of the performance. Reservations will be made on a first come, first serve basis. I hope to hear from you soon.

I’ll be pickin’ with Jon Boy and Lefty this Saturday, October 19 in the Happy Valley Filling Station at the conclusion of the Happy Valley Humdinger 5k race. The Happy Valley Humdinger is hosted by Andrew Suddreth and he always presents a quality event. We’ll celebrate the runners from 10:30 am until 2 pm. Paddy’s Something in the Water will have a fifth Wednesday edition this month. I use these fifth Wednesday dates to feature a Solo Showcase. Jimmie Griffith will be my guest on Wednesday, October 30. I’ll do an opening solo set at 6:30 pm, Jimmie will play a set at 7:30 pm, and we’ll play a “front porch finale” at 8:30 pm. Jimmie is one of our most creative and interesting musicians. He uses multiple instruments, composes his own songs, and delivers a world class performance.
