Horse friends! As many of you know I coach the Michigan State Dressage Team. We are considering hosting a tack sale at the Stapleton Farm indoor arena (just South of Lansing) sometime this October or November as a fundraiser.
This would be a chance for people to purchase a table spot (considering $25-30 a table) and sell their tack/equipment (keeping 100% profit). Alternately if you don't want to take time to set up a table you can donate tack and equipment to MSU Dressage as a tax deduction (we are a 501c3) and we will sell it and keep the profit as a donation. We are happy to pick up tack lots that are donated.
So 2 easy options to get extra tack and equipment moved out before winter and one great option to come and do some shopping and see fellow horse friends and colleagues!
We will have refreshments available and MSU Dressage merch.
Please comment if you think you or your barn might be interested and if october or november (not USDF finals week) would be better so we can gauge community interest. Please share share share :)

What a whirlwind few weeks! Photo dump from 3 shows- 2 weeks ago we had half the team down an the Hoosier horse park and half over at wyn farms. Then last weekend we were at Waterloo. Horse showing is full of ups and down, learning, time with friends and new experiences. I'm lucky we have such a great group of people. I'm constantly impressed by positive attitudes, willingness to learn from every experience and helping and supporting each other. It's also fun to get to catch up with other friends at shows after winter. Shout out to Katie and Sandra for all their hard work with horses and clients- I haven't been as good about photos at shows lately as we've all been busy so I missed a few people unfortunately but heres a few from each of the shows.

Iso 5-12yr old, under 16.2 over 15h. non breed specific, mare or gelding. Flexible on level of training but must be basically safe and training/first level or more. Young or green but safe is also ok as will be in partial training. Ideally has been off Farm and hacks. Appropriate budget.

Stapleton Farm is looking to hire a morning worker. Feeding, turnout, etc. Takes approximately 2 hours. Great team to work with. Must be detail oriented and reliable. Some flexibility on which days and number of days but must be able to do some sundays. Leslie, MI.

Sneak peek
6yr old 1/2 Connemara 1/2 GRP pony 14h. Sire is Milky Way- known for having a super brain & very amateur friendly. Owner has owned her since she was a weanling. She was started by her breeder and then had a foal at age 4. She was restarted after her foal was weaned then had a break through no fault of her own. Now back to work for several months.
She was shown at The Royal 2 years ago. Not a begginer pony currently as she is fairly sensitive but is sensible and could be down the road. Can go in any direction- We've ridden her inside, outside, hacked her, popped over logs etc. Working on Training and First level dressage work plenty of ability to do more. Also cute with her knees so could be fun as a hunter/jumper type. Please message for additional info.

A little down time over Christmas gave me time to update and freshen up the Farm web page - I love photography and website work when I have extra time. 2024 goals - to break out the good camera a little more.

Sandra and Jennie are having a great weekend at Waterloo getting 2 youngsters out for their first Second level tests with good scores. We even managed to miss the rain today! 7:40am rides also require yummy donuts from Main Street Bakery & Cafe in Leslie. Also shout out to Molly for being super groom and owner!

Busy few days and weekend! Assistant Trainer Katie O'Brien took Sarah and Andria over to Wynn Farm where they had some super tests today! Earlier this week we also grabbed some updated photos of Charlotte who Katie has been bringing along- katie has done such a nice job on her. She's learning to dance nicely.
