Social Media Monster is a success, at least as I define it, because it helps victims and targets of online abuse. No amount of money can compare to the success this message equates to. It was all worth it to take the power to intimidate or scare someone online with truth and facts.

I don't think I've had a prolonged creative phase this long in a few years. I'm way behind on keeping up with my stories like ONLY MURDERS, Futurama, but I did finish off SLOW HORSES which was surprisingly short this season.

While teaching my class to the online students yesterday, when we were conversing freeform, I ended up writing down 5-6 ideas of some productive new things for Cinestudy.

Paid work has slowed, but I do have streaming projects lined up. I really need to bare down and get more work with that. I love the energy of live events, live streaming. Everyone else tenses up and I sink into a dreamlike trance and just relax and make it happen. Hoping more streaming gigs come up.

I have used the downtime from slow paid work to get a TON of projects finished, others started that were languishing in the queue. Any creative person knows about the dry-spells, the writer's block, also known as the demon named PROCASTINATION.

So when the creative energy is there, you want to keep that fire lit for as long as you can because it is a finite resource and not the most reliable at coming back.

I'm still more creative later in the evening, but I'm slowly cutting back 30 minutes a night to try to keep my sleep schedule from becoming entirely nocturnal.

My projects are all over the map. Livestreams coming up, more Cinestudy, some vlogs for Social Media Monster Doc, some personal vlogs, music videos, and even more. I plan on hammering down and getting shiite done.

I have developed a horrendous habit the past week. I am getting very creative, heavily inspired.... starting at 10:30PM. The Muse comes to visit and I always answer the call. The problem is that I'm now awake and working until 3:30AM-4:30AM, feeling this great vibe until my eyes can no longer stay open. Then I'm sleeping in oh-so-late.

But I'm so productive! I'm working on multiple projects simultaneously. Cinestudy is slowly coming back to life. I'm supervising some small aspects of Social Media Monster Doc but that's not ready to promote fully just yet. Still, there is so much content in the queue for that, just waiting for finishing. Thankfully I have editors and producers to take on the heavy lifting.

Submissions have opened for The International Indie Gathering Film Festival and that is also something that I have other people working with me on so it's not quite the strain a festival can sometimes become.

Much like both my cats, The Kid and Lorenzo, I am nocturnal. It just doesn't work well for normalcy, seeing day light, or maintaining a schedule of any kind.

But.... the work. It's flowing, man. Getting stuff done. Expect some new material every week!

Feels so good to be filming and editing something new again. I have this project I've been sitting on for 2 years and just needed to feel inspired to finish it. I have become a lot more of a perfectionist, trying to elevate the quality of my own productions.

Today will be the 3rd time I shoot the intro and close to this video. I need it to be better. I'm not real accepting of the words "good enough" as I don't want that to be the kind of work I do. I don't like "good enough" and I want to always be striving for "good" so that I will feel great about what I've made.

Quality over quantity. I can't wait to finish this one. I got on a real roll this week and strangely, I'm savoring the editing. Taking my time, while I have some, and toying with ideas and looks more than I normally do. So maybe I can wait to finish this one.

Whenever I get into that groove, the editing trance as I sometimes refer to it, I get lost and there's no sense of time while I immerse myself in the footage, the ideas, and creatively just play with it all - different versions, different techniques, and I'm just not fully conscious. It's like I'm in that theta wave state in between being awake and asleep, where anything is possible, ideas float in and out, and the next thing I know - it's 3:30AM and I started at 10:12AM the previous day.

Taking a break from Social Media Monster Doc and the like, aside from some podcast interviews that are still coming in. I just want to focus on other things for a bit. Cinestudy has some things coming too. My idea of a "break" is to edit SOMETHING ELSE.....

Our documentary Social Media Monster has been canceled at streaming companies, silencing the voice of victims and targets of online abuse. Companies like Amazon Prime Video and Tubi sided with the iPredator that harassed all the people in this video. Over two dozen people talk about the harassment and targeting they suffered from Matthew Berdyck.

I made a documentary called "Social Media Monster" and it was set for Amazon Prime VOD and had played on other streaming services. The titular "Monster" contacted them and also my distributor, FilmHub, and rather than stand up for the targets of cyberharassment, they effectively sided with him and silenced the voice of his victims by removing the film form their platforms.
