On this day in 1941, it was showtime for The Campus Theatre, as the theatre entered the spotlight on what would become a truly majestic journey into the cinematic history of everyone's hearts and minds of this incredibly community. Today, The Campus Theatre turns 82 and we are more excited then ever to celebrate the years before us and the many years yet to come. On our anniversary, we reflect on all of those who have supported and celebrated The Campus Theatre and have helped to make it the treasure that it has become here in the heart of downtown Lewisburg. So we want to say THANK YOU to all of you, past, present, and future, as you are the greatest gifts that The Campus Theatre could ever receive. We would love to hear some of your most memorable memories of this theatre, as we wish a very Happy 82nd Birthday to The Campus Theatre!

In preparation for the , we want to highlight some of the amazing performers you'll be able to see on May 18th!

In our final performer reveal for the show, we're focusing on a pair of great local musicians: Taylor Fleming and Ryan Flannery, who will be performing as the Funhouse duo! With their roots and education in jazz, Funhouse are also a duo who grew up listening to the likes of AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, and Prince. After ten years together, their love for the traditional and the contemporary fuel creative arrangements of familiar tunes from Miles Davis to James Taylor to Pink Floyd. Funhouse compositions are comprised of yin and yang verve, cinematic, rocking and swinging.

The second showing of the hits the Campus Theatre stage in just two weeks! Are you ready for all the amazing performances you'll get to see?

Today we want to highlight two great actors coming to our stage from the phenomenal RiverStage Community Theatre! Tim Hippensteel and Desiraé Moore will be showcased in the upcoming performance of Monty Python's Spamalot, but first they'll be Live from Lewisburg!

Tim Hippensteel is a local performer involved in both Riverstage Community Theatre and the Community Theatre League. He has appeared in over three dozen on-stage roles. Offstage, he works in economic development for a five county region.

Desiraé Moore (Lady of the Lake) - This is Desiraé’s first time performing during Lewisburg Live and she is ecstatic to share such a large character with more people. Some of her past roles include Miss Adelaide from Guys and Dolls and Cathy in The Last Five Years.

RiverStage Community Theatre has been producing high-quality volunteer-driven theatre at Greenspace Center in downtown Lewisburg since moving in there in 2017. Their upcoming summer musical, the hilarious ‘Monty Python’s Spamalot,’ will perform June 17-26 featuring a huge cast of local actors and a full orchestra—tickets and more info can be found today at riverstagetheatre.org.

Today, we're taking a look at Monica Prince, who's going to be bringing some amazing written performance to our stage! Monica Prince teaches activist and performance writing at Susquehanna University. She is the author of three poetry collections, including the choreopoem, How to Exterminate the Black Woman. Her next choreopoem, Roadmap, will be published by Santa Fe Writers Project in 2023. At the Variety Show, Monica will be performing an excerpt from her next choreopoem, Roadmap, a short piece called "On the Outside," which references the struggle of Black incarcerated men in America.

Today, we're focusing on some dancers from the Karen Gronsky School of Dance, who will be gracing our stage with their fabulous moves! Our Show is featuring Natalie Schrader, an 8th grader who's competed at the State and National levels on the school's competitive company; Morgan Pease, a 5th grader who won 1st place with her trio "Power Puff Girls;" Baylee Renn, who also won 1st place in multiple categories at competitions this year; and Francesca Felty, who is set to make her very own splash as well. These girls have put in a ton of work learning various types of dance, and we can't wait to see what they've prepared for us on the 18th!

Today marks just 3 WEEKS until the ! In preparation, we want to highlight some of the amazing performers you'll be able to see on May 18th!

Today we're highlighting a beloved local musician. Larry Lawson first performed in public at the age of seven or eight, when he and his sisters sang for the Christmas banquet at his grandparents’ church in Mifflinburg. Since then, he has never stopped singing. As a sophomore in Lewisburg High School, he played Harold Hill in The Music Man. In college he began to learn guitar and sang songs by Paul Simon. As a twenty-something, he toured colleges and small clubs throughout the East and Midwest, performing a mix of traditional and original songs. Later Larry teamed up with Joe DeCristopher and Carl Kirby to form Lawson and Disorder, with whom he continues to perform, and they released Too Old to Start at the Bottom, a CD of his original tunes. Through the decades, Larry’s rich voice and poignant songs have continued to stir the hearts of his listeners.

Today, we want to talk about our fantastic host, the one and only Tom Morgan! Celebrating 45 years in Broadcasting this June, Tom Morgan has spent the majority of his career here in the Central Susquehanna Valley. Born and raised in Northeastern PA, and working his way through college, Tom moved here shortly after graduation, in 1982, and never left. Now, 40 years and three daughters later, Tom finds himself in his 2nd stint with SBC Media Partners of Sunbury as morning co-host of “Morgan In The Morning” on 94 KX’. His daughters are off to conquer the world, in London, Philadelphia and Baltimore, while Tom has recently moved back to Northumberland where he calls home.

Today we want to talk about our amazing house organist, Richard Findlay! A Lewisburger of 30+ years, Richard Findlay is happy to serve as the Variety Show's organist/keyboardist. “What a great project!” After childhood classical piano studies, at age 20, Richard headed west in a VW bus to work stand-in piano gigs out of the Hollywood Musician’s Contact Service. A marriage, 2 kids, 6 states, a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, and a lot of bands and gigs later, he still finds music to be an essential part of life. These days, Richard performs with his Blue River Soul Band, he enjoys collaborating on fun projects with other musicians, and he specializes in composing and recording hybrid piano and synthesizer works.

Today, let's talk about our very own house band, T-Rail and the Locomotives! The trio consists of Mike Harvey on guitar, Mick Edinger on bass, and Todd Fogle on drums. Mike, Mick, and Todd are all veteran musicians in the Susquehanna Valley, playing with many bands over the past 30 years. Blending a combination of rockabilly and surf rock, they bring high energy and quality musicianship to every piece of music they write and perform.
