We hand sharpen with diamond plate, water stones and / or slow speed water cooled wheels. For heavier damage or reshaping, we use CBN wheels.

Kitchen basics and Using all of the chicken
This is a beginners class. We will go over the basics of kitchen safety and sanitation. We will go over what knives are necessary in your kitchen and how to sharpen, care for and store them properly. We will go over breaking down whole chickens, as well as a variety of dishes, including Chicken under a brick, fried chicken, braised chicken and how to make stock with the carcass.

In this class we will go over the basics of fermentation by making sauerkraut, hot sauce and cider. We will discuss kosher dill pickles, kimchi, ginger bugs, mead, tepache, and kombucha.

Exciting news! Taproot Public House at Saddle Creek Golf Club is undergoing a transition, and we're thrilled to announce the opening of the Bar and Grill at Saddle Creek.

While Taproot is moving away from the restaurant, Chef Brett Corrieri will team up with the new Bar and Grill for special events, pop-up dinners, cooking classes, and catering.
