Our mission: We strive to honor and preserve our Franco American heritage, and welcome our neighbors from diverse cultures through high-quality live performances, celebrations, and education. We boast two magnificent and unique halls that are also used by numerous individuals, families and organizations for various events, including weddings, receptions, family gatherings, breakfasts, luncheons an

d banquets, corporate meetings, seminars, training sessions, and celebrations of all kinds. Founded in the year 2000, Franco-American Heritage Center at St. Mary's (Riverfront is our building's name) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization governed by a 15-member volunteer Board of Directors and operated by a handful of dedicated staff members and countless volunteers.

At the next La Rencontre: Over 75 of L'Ecole Francaise du Maine students will take to the stage at the Franco Center on Thursday, March 13, 2025, for a special performance of “Le Coeur de Lewiston-Maine.”

This original play, written by Jennifer Lemaire, explores the rich history of Lewiston’s Franco-American community through a vibrant animal kingdom, offering an engaging and family-friendly celebration of cultural heritage.

Doors open at 10:00am for socializing followed by entertainment at 11am and then lunch. More information is coming!

Like the mythical Phoenix that is reborn from its own ashes, magnificent musical compositions have arisen from human tragedy.

Our March concert will feature some of the most powerful music ever written, including the world premiere of a new piece by Michael John Trotta, commissioned by the Maine Music Society and dedicated to all victims of the October 25, 2023 Lewiston tragedy.

Dueling Pianos will perform Saturday, Feb. 8. Two pianists will play songs from a variety of genres simultaneously on two pianos. The pianists take requests from the audience and make the show interactive.

Tickets are $25 in advance; $30 at door day of show.
