Happy Wednesday, Facebook Friends! Well, another day, another dozen eggs frying on a shady sidewalk. They say tomorrow will be 12-15 degrees lower. Let's hope that's true and sticks around until autumn begins. Yeah, I like to think positive. Today I cooled off and dined on a grilled cheese sandwich, fries, and a pancake for dessert at Red's Diner in Lewistown. My sincere Thank You to the couple who paid for my meal!!
Happy Hot Humid Tuesday, Facebook Friends! The weather experts say we must endure this (choose your own word) until dusk on Wednesday. I am sooo looking forward to lower temps and humidity. Today I spent a couple of hours cooling off, and eating, at South Side Hoagie Shop, in Lewistown, where I had an Italian hoagie, fries, whoopie pie and cold water. I hope you are staying cool!
Happy Monday, Facebook Friends! It sprinkled for a minute and the temperature dropped a little bit. I think we need more rain. A lot more! Today I had a breaded chicken salad and bun at the South Side Hoagie Shop in Lewistown. Wish you could have been present!

Happy First Sunday of July, Facebook Friends! Another hot day with less humidity. I can tolerate 90+ temps if it isn't humid. Today's supper/dinner was the big fish salad, loaf of bread, and icy water, served gracefully by Kristen O, at the Downtown OIP in Lewistown. A sundae at Burger King for dessert. I looked for you....
Hello Again, Facebook Friends! It is still July 5th. After Red's I stopped at Burger King for dessert (a vanilla milkshake), took a little drive, and am now back home, charging my phone's battery. I hope you are staying cool and safe!

Wednesdays usually find me at South Side Hoagie Shop, but today I chose the Downtown OIP, in Lewistown, where I had the Big Fish Salad.... which was very good. Serving impeccably was Chelsea M. I kept my eyes open but didn't see you!! Let me be the first to wish you a safe and happy Independence Day!!!
Happy July 2nd, Facebook Friends! The sun is shining, the humidity is okay, and it's nice to be out. What more could you want? Today's main menu, at the South Side Hoagie Shop in Lewistown, was chicken tenders (some people call them fingers - though I never saw a chicken with fingers), fries, a chocolate chip whoopie pie and coffee. Where are you hiding?
Happy July, Facebook Friends! The start of a new month on a pleasant, beautiful day. Wow! Today I had the Pittsburgher sandwich as a late lunch/early supper at the Downtown OIP in Lewistown. What is it, exactly? It's fries, cole slaw, provolone cheese and a choice of roast beef, turkey or capicola with Thousand Island dressing on homemade bread. And it's delicious! Chelsea M. served me very, very well! I keep looking for you!

Happy Beautiful June 27th, Facebook Friends! Have you missed me? That's a dumb question, of course you didn't. I have an excuse: my phone was affected by the hot, humid weather. But very little affects my stomach. The most notable meals were a turkey wrap and liver and onions at Red's Diner last Saturday and today; and a grilled chicken salad at South Side Hoagie Shop on Tuesday. I keep looking for you!
Happy First Full Day of Summer, Facebook Friends! It's nice that summer has arrived, as long as hot temps did not tag along. One hot spell a year is fine with me. Yesterday and today found me eating at Red's Diner in Lewistown. Grilled ham and cheese sandwich, fries, the big country breakfast and warm apple pie with milk and sugar. Yesterday's whoopie pies were at South Side Hoagie Shop.
Happy Hot and Humid Wednesday, Facebook Friends! I am about out of things to say about the weather. A few days ago they said this pattern would end on Thursday, then Friday, then Saturday. Now it will end on Sunday. Right. Today's main meal was a turkey chef salad with ranch dressing and a loaf of bread, served especially well by Hannah, at the Downtown OIP in Lewistown.
Happy Hot Monday, Facebook Friends! I know what you are thinking: "If you think today is hot, wait for the rest of the week." Yup, that's what the weather experts say. It could be worse. We could be in a major blizzard with 80 mph howling winds, 40" of snow and -30 temperature. Anything could always be worse. Today I had a ham hoagie, green chips and cold water at South Side Hoagie Shop in Lewistown. I'm trying to keep cool and hope you are, too!!
Happy Father's Day, Facebook Friends!! This has been a great Sunday to be out either alone, with friends or, if your Dad is still alive... with him. I enjoyed the day with fond memories of my Dad. Imagining my Mom and Dad were here, we had supper at the Downtown OIP in Lewistown. I had the turkey Pittsburgher sandwich and a S'mores cookie for dessert. Coffee, too, of course. All served impeccably by Lily. I hope you had a pleasant day, also!!

Today's main meal was kinda like a mini smorgasbord: wings, grilled cheese sandwich, green chips, Hershey bar and coffee at the South Side Hoagie Shop in Lewistown. I was busy talking when everything arrived and failed to take a picture before gobbling it up!!

Happy June 7th, Facebook Friends! Everyone has certain dates throughout the year that evoke special memories. This is one such date. Fifty-four years ago today I did something for the first and last time. That's all I'm saying, except that she remains one of my closest friends.
It's still June 5th, Facebook Friends! I forgot to tell you that I had a banana whoopie pie after the grilled chicken salad, at South Side Hoagie Shop in Lewistown. Then I bought a container of chocolate chip cookies to enjoy when I get hungry.

Happy Dry, Warm and Sunny Tuesday, Facebook Friends! I have been a mite busy the past week which is why you have not heard from me. Of course you like to hear where and what I've eaten, so here we go, in reverse order. Yesterday and Sunday at the Downtown OIP in Lewistown. Blackened chicken salad, served by Chelsea M., lasagna, served by Chloe W. Saturday and Friday at Red's Diner, cheeseburger and fries, crab cakes, mac and cheese, stewed tomatoes served by Carol. Thursday I'm not sure. Wednesday, May 29th (my birthday), Red's Diner, ham loaf. Bonnie S., Ron's mom, baked me a chocolate peanut butter cake. It was a nice week, but I missed seeing you!

at a friend's picnic, then later I stopped at the Downtown OIP (in Lewistown) to see MFS (guess what that means) Chelsea M and had a giant cookie. Today's lunch was at the Lewistown Burger King. I look forward to seeing you somewhere sometime!
