Is there a trick to the format you use in the images posted to Facebook? I shoot in raw, then convert to JPeg after editing but something about my Jpegs ALWAYS gets messed up on facebook... I posted my kids school pics yesterday and they're all perfect images with no noise or blur the colors and lighting are perfect, and the only editing I did was masking the background to add color over the white..
BUT when I uploaded them to Facebook they look noisy and pixilated like my ISO was way to high and I oversaturated colors and I know neither is true so WHAT is happening? Anyone else had this happen?

I just wanted to remind everyone that Dollar Tree is the way to go...

NOT Dollar General, NOT Family Dollar but DOLLAR TREE!

I'm preparing for a food shoot, and needed matching dishes to lay stuff out and I got ALL this for $17... for a small business being able to budget AND get the job done the best it can be done is EVERYTHING!!! I got 3 sets of 4 matching containers with lids, I got a large measuring cup and a measuring set, spoons and scrapers and a nice spatula for plating, 2 trays to lay out the pictures and a nice glass cup for milk beside the finished product! Will post after finishing!

INTERESTED in a wedding dress re-shoot? Let me explain... I've included an original and 3 of my re-takes below (and yes I shot these myself)

We all know our weddings are the most special day of our lives, but unfortunately when something goes wrong we don't get a re-do... at my wedding we decided to let everyone use phones instead of hiring a photographer/videographer and after the wedding when I realized most of my favorite images were blurry and unprintable I was devastated, not to mention I hated my hair so I honestly didn't like ANY of the photos I was in...

I decided to do a re-shoot in my dress so I could atleast enjoy having a few good photos in my dress, and then I realized there are likely thousands of women who feel the same and wish they could have a re-do on their photos...

So I've decided to put together a special package just for wedding re-do images... we all save our dresses, we obviously cannot redo the ceremony BUT we can shoot just bride, or we can get everyone together for group sessions IF everyone has an ensemble relative to the original wedding attire!

Anyone who may be interested in doing a re-shoot, just message me!

I love the extra style, class, and creativity a mirror adds to your image, it's the perfect touch for going from normal to extravagant! And if you REALLY want to stand out, then I'll add a little creative editing and some composites or double exposures!

🙌👌👌👌 I've got 3, and they have specialized needs... they are not a water turtle you throw in a tank and feed once a day!!! They require a varied diet, basking areas, heat light when they're inside and almost constant supervision when outside!

A Friendly Reminder 🐢

A 100+ pound Male Sulcata is monumentally different to house than a hatchling, yearling or juvenile.

They require a large, fully secured enclosure with a sizable heated shed/barn/house for the winter.

They p**p like a cow, they rearrange furniture, they dig, they eat a lot (A LOT), they will try to mate with inanimate objects, they can be destructive.

You HAVE TO spend the time and resources to set them up properly or it’s a recipe for disaster and you will end up rehoming him.

With the right setup they are amazing and very rewarding pets. Please do not listen to anyone selling them as an “easy” or “starter” pet.

You wouldn’t put a cow in your living room, or a horse in your laundry room, just like livestock they need to be outdoors.

Sulcata’s are grazers, they want to eat grass, lots of grass, they want to explore and roam a large enclosure, they need shade to escape the searing sun, they want to play in the mud and soak on hot days, they will plow through inadequate fencing and escape.

When you hear people in FB groups say “Do your Research”, this is what they mean. Is it cool to have a giant tortoise roaming your backyard? ABSOLUTELY!, but you owe it to him and yourselves to set him up for success.

I've been playing with some creative editing this week...

Gosh I'm just in love with these... and NO, nothing in any of these photos is fake or AI... these are all photos I have taken, made into composites (accept the flamingo in the turtle, it was pulled from a raw image off Pexels)

I just love the freedom to be creative and create something magical, so if anyone has been interested in something new and exciting Noone else in our area is doing, message me!

Small Business Advertising:
So Noone knows better than me that advertising and bringing in business is SO HARD to do when you don't have thousands of dollars to sink into web design, paying Google for a listing, etc...

So I had an idea, I'd like to devote the 2nd and 3rd week of September to the local businesses that wish to have photos to use for advertising... it'll be a simple daily charge, all editing will be included in that cost... I'll make sure you have your photos back within a weeks time to post, print, or use as you see fit (I'll also post on my Facebook ofcoarse)...

If this is something you'd be interested in, send me a message and let's help each other build up the small businesses in our area!!!
