Why Boudoir Photography?You know how you have this friend who is so powerful… When she walks into the room, everybody knows it. She’s absolutely stunning, from the way her hips swing to the way she brushes her hair off her face. She is the picture of femininity. And it’s not just looks, it's her “being,” she is a goddess… and she doesn’t even know it! You don’t understand how she doesn’t see this in herself. She’s hard on herself. She looks in the mirror, and all she sees is flaws. She’s a Mom and she constantly feels like she’s failing. She can never keep up. She puts up with the wrong relationship way too long because she doesn’t think she deserves better. Or maybe she’s with the person of her dreams, but she still doesn’t feel good enough. She accepts a job for less than what she’s worth because… she doesn’t know her worth. But what if she did? What if she looked in the mirror and saw how beautiful, strong, resilient and badass she was. What if she looked in the mirror and said I’m sexy! What kind of impact would that be on herself, her daughter? What if she went to that interview and negotiated for more pay? What if she followed her dreams and started her own business? What if she looked at herself as a mom and said, I am enough! What if she didn’t settle for less in her relationship and did the work to make it better, because she knew she deserved it. What if she could now authentically cheer her friends on without any hint of jealousy? That is why I do boudoir. Boudoir is way more than sexy photos. It’s transformation. It’s healing. It’s a way to look at yourself and see a part of you that you didn’t know existed. Or maybe you did, but you never saw her physically in a photograph. Seeing her reflected is priceless and I believe the confidence that gives my clients carries over to the rest of their lives. I’m not here to just make sexy photographs. I’m here to give my clients a life-change experience that brin

embodies a love that may endure even past death.”
This was an excerpt from Rebecca and Marisa’s Ceremony. A moment that gripped us all - even me - I was choking up and fighting back the tears as I fought them to see to photograph these precious moments.
Earlier that week I was listening to Same Love by Macklemore, experiencing how far we’ve come. Just 2 ½ years ago we were still fighting for this right. I was struck with appreciation for humankind and our capacity for love and advancement.
Fast forward, to hear this quote at their wedding, an excerpt from the legal ruling that makes this union possible. Was unreal - Such a beautiful and surreal moment. What’s absolutely amazing is this was both Rebecca and Marisa’s favorite moment too!
Their wedding was full of love, joy, humor and fun! Their friends and family truly came together to support them and shower them with love. I think it speaks to who they both are, supportive, thoughtful, loving human beings who light up this world.
It was an honor to be a part of this beautiful experience and to get to know these two remarkable women and all the awesome people that they surround themselves with..
