Miss M was one of our big giveaway winners from August, and her session was so much more than just taking beautiful photos—it was a powerful moment of self-acceptance, growth, and rediscovery.

She has faced many challenges, from living with chronic pain to navigating life as a mother of three, including a child with autism. Through it all, she has been on a journey of healing—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Once deeply into belly dancing and burlesque, pregnancy changed her relationship with her body, but over time, she found new ways to embrace her femininity through self-care, nourishment, and self-love.

For years, she struggled with trauma from domestic violence, working tirelessly to build herself back up. Now, she continues to prioritize herself, her worth, and her happiness.
Miss M came into her session not just to take photos, but to honor who she is today—a woman who has rediscovered her value and refuses to let her past define her future. It’s been a long winter. The kids have been sick nonstop, and you can’t remember the last time you had a moment to yourself. You can’t even remember if you washed your face this morning, sleep is scarce, and even figuring out dinner feels like an impossible task. Feeling sexy? Haha… That’s so far out of reach, it feels like a distant memory.

I get it. I’m there right now — I thought I was just dealing with allergies, but nope… I’m sick again (sorry to those I was around yesterday 😭).. Life gets overwhelming, and sometimes it feels like there’s nothing left for you.

This Thanksgiving, my heart is overflowing with gratitude.

✨ *First and foremost*, my incredible husband—your unwavering support for me and my (sometimes crazy) dreams is everything.

✨ This year, one of those dreams came true: my very own *1800 sq ft studio*! Every time I step into it, I’m in awe of what we’ve built.

✨ My fierce, talented, and delightfully sassy kids—you keep me inspired daily. I hope that spark grows into independence and entrepreneurship as you chase your own dreams.

✨ Our “village”—my parents and MIL, who always have our backs and pour so much love into our lives.

Three years ago, Miss G lost the love of her life—her husband of 25 years. The grief was overwhelming, and in the aftermath, she struggled with weight gain and a loss of self. But even in her darkest moments while he was sick, her husband had told her: “Don’t close yourself off. I’ll send someone special for you. Don’t feel bad about falling in love again.”

True to his word, two years later, Miss G reconnected with an old friend—someone who had been close to both her and her late husband. It was a beautiful, unexpected turn in her journey of healing.

But here’s the part that really struck me—this incredible woman didn’t see herself the way the rest of us do. She described herself as clumsy, not graceful, and didn’t name one feature that she loved about herself. She wanted to feel confident, to feel not worn down. Yet, Miss G is anything but worn down. She’s a testament to strength, resilience, and the beauty that comes from rediscovering yourself after loss. Gorgeous inside and out.

Let’s show Miss G some love. ❤️
