🎶 Calling all young musicians! 🎶

The Central Kentucky Youth Orchestras (CKYO) is now accepting audition videos for the 2025–2026 season! If you play strings, woodwinds, brass, or percussion and are in grades 3–12, there’s a place for you in one of our four classical ensembles — from beginners to advanced players.

Registration for the Acclaim Festival will be closing on March 1st! We have so many amazing ensembles attending this April 29-30th and we can't wait to hear them perform.

If you would like to attend, please complete your registration form as soon as possible. We will close registration on March 1st to allow time for final schedules to be sent to transportation!

We have these openings available:
-1 large band/orchestra opening on the 30th in the morning
-3 Large band/orchestra openings on the 30th in the afternoon
-High School Only- openings on the 29th in the afternoon
-Choral Groups- openings on either the 29th-30th
-Small Ensembles

At Acclaim, we play GREAT MUSIC but also have a lot of FUN!!! We believe that ensembles that "Play together- stay together"

The Acclaim Music Festival provides students with unlimited attractions and arcade for 3 hours! Students can have fun on the roller coaster, Spin Zone, Laser Tag, Putt-Putt, X Rider, and more!

Look out world! The 8th Grade Orchestra at Leestown Middle School is FIERCE! These students are ALL IN! They understand the hard work and dedication it takes to perform at with excellence. The spend time after school in extra practices and always encourage each other.
The judges were impressed with this group! Mr. Evans said, "One of the highlights of the day! Great energetic group with great ensemble skills". Ms. Webb said, "You all rock! I am so impressed with how advanced you are!" Way to go Leestown!

All music performing groups are welcome at Acclaim! We have ensembles from elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools attending this Spring. We have groups from public and private schools!

Groups may perform 2 or 3 pieces of music. Beginners are even welcome to perform unison selections from their method book. We want to celebrate music education at all levels.

The Beaumont MS 8th Grade Band is a fine group of musicians! These students performed "Shadows, Unleashed" and "Moscow, 1941" at the Acclaim Festival. The judges praised the group for their clear intonation and pure sound. Mr. Evans said, "Very fine performance! The band is making sounds well above their age level!" I can't wait to see what these students do as they continue playing in their high schools!

Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Shawna and Acclaim was created out of a desire to celebrate music education in our area.

Central KY has a vibrant community of music teachers who have a heart to impact the next generation. We believe that music education is more than just a way to have cool concerts. We know that we are encouraging our students to work hard and persevere even when learning their instrument is hard. We are working to build a generation of resilient students who push through their insecurities and not give up. Music may be our means but it is not the focus.

SCAPA Bluegrass put together a FULL ORCHESTRA for the first time this fall. Mrs. Weitkamp and Ms. Francis combined forces to pull out an outstanding performance! They performed "Nostalgia" by Galante and "Engines of Resistance" by Clark. The judges commented on how they performed with incredible maturity and note accuracy. Ms. Webb even commented that their "playing technique was truly outstanding!" You can tell these students work hard to perfect their skills. Way to go SCAPA!
