We are spreading the LUV this semester !!! So, they’re having highlighting our Vietnamese cuisine on the other side of campus on Hilltop. Come join us for lunch this week from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. Tomorrow’s feature menu is Cari Gà (AKA chicken curry) slowly cooked with lemongrass and coconut milk topped with fresh basils & scallions. Don’t miss this nice savory soup by dunking your warm toasted French bread into the curry broth!! Ooh lala!! Oui oui 😅👩🏻‍🍳

Happy Anniversary to !!! 🎉🎊 Three years ago a took a paid leave from Covid and opened my ghost kitchen to serve up authentic Vietnamese pho noodle soup & bánh mį. It all started with being away from home all the time & I wanted that comfort food that my mom always make. I’ve eaten thousands of bowls of pho noodle soup and nothing was savory or everlasting taste. What inspired me was during my studies in culinary in Vietnam, I met a food vendor has been making pho noodle soup from this old man’s 50 years recipe. I took the recipe back to America and started to craft the art of making pho noodle soup for my friends and family. I literally cried over the table when my Mother said, “my pho noodle soup gives her an everlasting taste.” To me, this was BIG because if you know anything about my Mother, she is very critical when it comes to Vietnamese cuisines and one of the best Vietnamese cooks I’ve ever had the experience to enjoy!!! So, today I’m honoring how far has come & all the customers that had an opportunity to eat my pho noodle soup & bánh mì. Im also take this moment to honor my belated Mother who was my #1 fan & cheerleader during the creation. I wanted to represent what it’s like to eat pho noodle soup without traveling to Vietnam!!! Also, wanted to thank my dearest friends and siblings who have been supportive of my journey!!! And also, my partnership with the University of Kentucky for having all over their space! Well this is a wrap for the week !!! If you missed us this whole week; today is our last day !!! We’re here Kitchen from 11:00 am until sold out. We’ll take a break and hope to return for the Spring Semester with more authentic Vietnamese dishes for you to experience. Thank you .tylermurray for our partnership and hope to be back if you still want more of 🤩 It has been a fun semester but I am going to need a very nice long vacation after cooking for over 6,000 +++ students, faculty, and staff this Fall Semester 🏝️

Last night was the highlight of my culinary experience as I had the pleasure to work with amazing Chefs & Mentees for the James Beard Dinner Foundation in New York City!!! 👩🏻‍🍳For my dish, I chose the pimelo-lotus seafood salad & the Carmelized Pork Belly. I cannot explain how honor I feel to showcase my culinary Vietnamese cuisine. 👩🏻‍🍳🥰

We have only 8 seats left James Beard Foundation dinner; where I’ll be one of the five The LEE Initiative Mentees to showcase our dinner in The Big Apple, November 16th Pier57!!! 👩🏻‍🍳🥰. See our beautiful menu in the link below!! I’ll be flying out this Monday and will be doing a lot of prepping to get ready for the venue. So excited to be a part of this very special event!!! I literally can pinch myself. I’ve worked so hard to get here! I mean to cook for the JBF is such a great honor!!! The journey I took to travel to Vietnam & Thailand to immerse myself in culinary schools in 2017 & 2019 has prepared me to where I am today. I really enjoyed both of my careers in the culinary and aviation world.

I’m so excited to share that I’m heading to NYC with for a series of panels and dinners at at Pier 57, where I’ll be showcasing my Vietnamese cuisines for The James Beard Dinner Fundraiser. The events are a culmination of this year’s Women Culinary and Spirits Program, which aims to give women a path to leadership in the hospitality space. To conclude the program, I will join the other women involved in WCSP (mentees and mentors) to showcase the power of mentorship and female empowerment. It has been a great year and I’m so grateful to be apart of The 2023 WCSP! So, get your dinner tickets in soon!!
