The vendor team doesn’t make it in front of the camera too often, but this was a special one. The bride, Caitlin, works in the event industry with us and we all could not have been happier to work together to make the day perfect for her and Matt 🤍
Caitlin and I worked together (almost 10 years ago 🙃😫) and she has been a best friend of mine ever since. Truly thankful for that and that she chose 27 Social!

I am always curious how small businesses come up with their names, so I wanted to share how 27 Social came about! Maybe one day I’ll share the long list of words that I put together, but I kept coming back to Social. It’s a very simple word, but I wanted something that did not put me in a box of a certain type of event. I circled Social on the list. Although, I still wanted the business name to hold some personal value, which is where 27 comes from. My moms birthdate was May 27. A date that I truly believe the world became a better place. My mom was my biggest cheerleader when I decided to start working in events out of college. She loved hearing stories about all of the cool stuff I was doing. We had lunch every Sunday afternoon after Church and a lot of that time was spent talking about my work during the week, and me telling stories of my crazy and busy event weekends. I hate that she isn’t here to see me launch 27 Social, but there is no one else I would rather honor! When I see the name of my business, I think of her and that will be the motivation I need on the tough days and the smile on my face on the good ones. 🤍 The picture is of my parents on their wedding day in 1983.
