Thursday, May 21st the RCHS Choir performed at VCDA Concert Choir Assessment, a state event. The group walked away with an overall rating of II - Excellent!! We are so proud of our choir at Choir Rockbridge. They have grown in numbers and in ability in such a short period of time. They bring so much energy and passion to the department. Give them a shout out for all of their hard work!

We are so proud of our Jazz Band members that performed with the All District Jazz on Monday, March 18th at Bridgewater College. It was a great concert to share with the District and a group of awesome Maury River Middle Jazz Band members!!

Congrats to the RCHS Symphonic Band for receiving a rating of 1-Superior in stage performance and a rating of 1-Superior in sight reading, for an overall rating of 1-SUPERIOR at VBODA Concert Assessment!! (This is the highest rating a band can achieve at assessment.) Members of the RCHS Symphonic Band and Jazz Band had a great weekend at Alleghany High School for the 2024 Central Highlands All Area Band 🎶🥁🎺 We could not be more proud of the 28 students who represented our school. We would like to give a great big thank you to our high school guest conductor Trey Harris and our middle school director, and Rockbridge Marching Wildcats music arranger, Jon Wilson for spending their time with our students! We also want to give a shout out to our middle school pals at MRMS and LDMS for a stellar portion of the concert this afternoon. We love getting to spend the weekend with you! (See you next week for All District Band, doing what we love and loving what we do!!💙🩶🎶)

Central Highlands Showcase of Bands was a great success tonight! We want to thank all the bands, their directors, & the RCHS Music Boosters for making tonight such a special event. Also a huge shout out to Bridgewater College for bringing the BC Screamin’ Eagles Marching Band to the show!! Seeing our alumni continuing to pursue music in college was a great inspiration to all!

Second Tuesday, 9.26 - Central Highlands Showcase hosted at Rockbridge with performances from Parry McClure HS, Alleghany HS, Bath County HS, and Rockbridge! With a special exhibition performance by the Bridgewater College Screamin’ Eagles Marching Band!!!
$5 per person
