The Bluegrass Barons concluded the 2024 vintage base ball season on a picture-perfect fall afternoon with a pair of matches against our friends the Iron Horses of the Erie Railway.

The Barons claimed both ends of the doubleheader to win the 2024 Commonwealth Cup and the prize bottle of bourbon. The Barons finished their season with a 12-9 record.

Thank you to the Iron Horses for coming down to Lexington for one more weekend of base ball, and thank you to ALL the vintage base ball clubs who took the field with us in 2024!

Thank you to all the fans, friends, and family who came out to Waveland or made the trips out of state. Thank you to Waveland for hosting vintage base ball for another season.

We wish everybody and all of fellow ballists a safe off-season and look forward to seeing everybody again in 2025!

The Bluegrass Barons welcomed the Mariah Hill Yanks back to Waveland for the first games of their season, but the Yanks were sharp in their fielding as they took both matches, 12-10 and 9-7.

Both games were competitive and fun, and we look forward to playing the Yanks again on their home field in Indiana next month!

Thank you to the Yanks for making the trip to Lexington, thank you to all the fans, friends, and family who came out to watch, and thank you to our friends at Waveland for hosting again.
