Changes for the New Year at Pick & Paint Plus -
Due to the ever increasing price of glazes and the inability of people to listen and not waste the glaze the following will begin on January 1st.
There will be a $6.00 studio fee per person per visit. If you would like to become a member of our customer base that does not waste glaze then this fee can be revisited on a case to case bases. I have on 1 Saturday alone thrown out the equivalent of 5 -8 ounce bottle of glaze that cost me $90.00.
We will be eliminating the Fairy dust and element glazes. If you want the fairy dust look you can put stardust over any color.
Due to all our clay coming from wherever the industry can get it now we will no longer allow the use of crystals on anything that is a food item. Foundations will not be used except with the crystals which will allow me to cut the number of them we have to keep in stock.
Sorry to have to do this but I am trying to keep my prices reasonable and glazes are the best way to cut the costs of a studio. We will still carry the full line of Stroke and coats.

Hours for the week of Dec 29th. Sunday 2 to 5 pm, closed Monday, Tuesday and January 1st Wednesday. We will reopen Thursday at noon and return to normal hours for the month of January.

Pick & Paint Plus will be open tomorrow Christmas Eve from 10 to 1 pm for pick ups and gift cards- no painting sessions. We will be closed on Christmas Day and then reopen on Dec 26 with our regular hours. We will be closed on Wednesday Jan 1st and resume normal hours on the 2nd.

All pieces that were finished by 8 pm on Wednesday December 18th are finished and ready to go. We have texted everyone. We will be here today Saturday from 11 to 5, tomorrow Sunday 2 to 5, closed Monday and Opening Tuesday Christmas Eve from 10 to 1 for pick ups and gift cards only. We will be closed Christmas Day. Resume normal hours on Dec 26.

We are on our normal hours this week. Wednesday and Friday noon to 8 pm, Thursday noon to 6, Saturday 11 to 5 and Sunday 2 to 5. The week of Christmas we will be open Tuesday December 24 from 10 to 1 for pick ups only. Closed Christmas Day and then normal hours the rest of the week.
Please be understanding that I have a family that I like to share Christmas with also so after 1 pm on Christmas Eve until noon on December 26th when we open again I will not be available. Hope everyone is have a great Holiday season.

Does anyone know a Katrina Hembree that lives here in Lexington NC? A package for here was delivered to the studio with the studio address on it. Told if I return to shipper they will just deliver it here again. So if you know her let her know she can stop by Pick & Paint Plus to get her package. Please share as I am pretty sure this is a present based on who it was shipped from.

What’s happening at the studio today? We have cleaned out the warehouse of left over wood cut outs, mosaic kits, class sample pieces and abandoned painted pieces. We are selling the board pieces size 14” to 24” are 5.00 per board, 12” Initials are 2.50 each and 8” initials are 1.50 each, we will not accept credit cards for less than a 10.00 purchase and bring your own bags as we are not bagging them.- they are as they are - first come first serve. There are 15 boxes of youth 12” pieces that 10 pieces for 25.00 plus tax. They are random assortments and you MAY NOT open the boxes. The mosaic kits are 5.00 and 10.00. Finished sample pieces range from 5.00 to 45.00. These samples do not come with clip lights or candles. Finally we have a table of items that were never picked up. Come pick a piece and donate 5.00 cash to the Davidson County Animal Alliance.

Just a reminder Pick & Paint Plus is closed today. Sunday October 27th for a private party.

Shaun parties to hard last night so he is in the car recovering and sleeping.

We have been having such fun with all the new stoneware pieces. Pizza stone can be used for cheese plate or the new cheese boards are awesome for a light cheese and wine.

Cute little Henry Hedgehog looks like me when I get done painting. Done by a customer Henry looks like he had fun with the glazes.

Lot and lots of Fall and Halloween available. Remember if you want to paint at home in acrylics we sell just the bisque pieces or we can make you a pottery to go lots with glazes and then you can bring it back to be fired.
